Very good

A lovely relatively quiet old manor house, just off the M11. Rooms well insulated for heat, 2 windows didn’t close easily in my room, but other guests seemed to slam them shut. Bed was huge and very comfortable; the bathroom was clean and the domestic staff maintained the room daily.
I did drive past a couple of times as i thought the main iron gates were a service entrance, but not. Its a sharp turn into the 'drive' and pull up to the gates which will open automatically. The Receptionist was very helpful too. I didn’t have the breakfasts as too pricey for my budget.
Fairly easy to find and check in quick. Room smallish but ok and nice bathroom. No evening meal service on site but pubs not far away. Close to park and ride so easy to get into the city.
Overall good value for money

Fantastic!
Such a pleasant stay at the Rectory Farm! I didnt know what to expect but the rooms were specious, very clean, pretty surroundings, it was warm in the room. I would definitely book again. Its not too far from the city centre which makes it convenient.

Ignore the location
Do not let the position of this hotel influence your decision. It might be near the motorway but the ambience and style of the house was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and friendly with an excellent breakfast offered.
We arrived late, the key for my room was left as instructed. Room was clean the bed was comfy. The only negatives are the room layout meant that when the door was open it felt like you were stepping straight into the bed and the soundproofing between rooms could be better.
The bed wasn’t very good, the mattress was too thin.
The room was nice and warm, got a bit too hot but you can open the window.
There are no staff around before 4pm
Beautiful place to stay, very smart and well kept, quiet, also, very helpful staff.

Upgraded to the main house and after seeing the rooms in the annex I was disappointed with my upgrade. The rooms in the annex were nicer and had nicer beds.they were also slightly bigger. So not sure what I had for my upgrade??
Beautiful house and couldn’t fault anything .Had room in main house which was decorated beautifully.Very good value for money Eat ate Tree horseshoes pub Very good food .
At it's most basic, Rectory Hall is completely fine. I have stayed here a few times for work in Cambridge. All the rooms I stayed in are perfectly fine. The problem is the ambiguous and unfair charging policy. This time I was charged for parking overnight. No explanation was given. My card was just charged. I did choose to have breakfast for the 1st time in ages, which is £16. Not only is it overpriced but it is poor-average.
