The cashcow of LHR and environs. Less than 2 miles from the airport but uber over £20.
The hotel facade and lobby are impressive, when you get into the corridors and a standard room, far less so.
There was a huge event taking place just off the lobby and people spilling out, making check in more like a market place. The I could hardly make out what the woman on reception was telling me.
We were given poor information as to the location of the lift. A second staff directed us to the wrong one, the upper floors are very large, spanning an odd shaped building.
The room presented as a clean space, clearly not new but servicable, with the items you would expect in a 4 star hotel.
Breakfast was itself what you would expect but no better. Hot items were not very hot and despite a reasonable choice across the meal, there was little choice with pastries.
On a prepaid room with breakfast, what is the point of demanding a credit card deposit if refunded on check out?
