The first disappointment was finding no usb port in my room. Really?? On asking at reception the girl knew nothing to help. Second dissatisfaction was seeing that the carpet had not been vacuumed- and I don’t mean just a speck of something here and there, but a build-up of hair, cobwebs and dust in corners. Had I been able to charge my phone I would have taken photos but needed what battery I had left for an early morning alarm. Also, skip any pasta dishes in the restaurant- it’s beyond overcooked.

It was a quick stay, arrived on a late flight, a quick bite to eat and an early check-out next morning to travel out of London, so not a lot of time at the hotel to fully access it. Did the job though. Strange in the UK you have to pay for parking when staying in a hotel.

Easy to find and easy check in. Room was basic but all fine. Wifi worked well. No plug sockets by the bed. Room had a kettle though which was a plus. Cheap, clean and convenient stay for the airport.
