Unfortunately when we arrived, the hotel reception had booked someone else into our allocated room. After some concerns and time, we were reassured that it was a clerical error and not to be concerned that someone had used our ID in any way. After telling us the hotel was full for the evening we were found a room and offered a complimentary drink. The reception staff later rang our room to say the confusion had occurred due to a similar sound name. It was very concerning that someone could go through the whole checking in/credit card/address and signature system and this error not have been sighted. We have enjoyed staying at the Indigo hotels in the UK but this incident has unnerved us for further bookings.

Great hotel with handy NCP parking nearby. Good rooms and facilities, comfy bed, lovely staff on reception. One star off for one rude member of staff in the breakfast dining area; the rest were great. Would definitely stay again.

Good location. But not a 4 star hotel. Reception, lobby, lounge quite nice and the Marco Pierre White restaurant is a nice touch. But rooms and general facilities are pretty basic with simple furniture, coffee sachets etc. pretty much what you’d expect from a travelodge or holiday inn (part of IHG) for a much better rate. Rooms have poor sound proofing and I could hear word for word the TV next door.

This property was in a fantastic location! Close to the Beatles statue and the Royal Albert Docks. A few restaurants close by made for easy and tasty meals during my stay. The hotel lobby was designed well too. I wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner but really no problems with the hotel at all.

Staff really freindly and helpful, our room was rather in the need of a re-vamp. The flooring around the bed was chipped and lifting, the vaux leather on the bed base was peeling off, mattress and pillows were VERY soft and needed replacing, under the wardrobe had not been cleaned in a while, thick with dust

Good location but service not great

Hotel is in a good location, but the service was lacking. Check-in opened at 3pm and we arrived at 3:30pm to be told no rooms were ready and it would be about 10mins. 20mins later we were told the same thing, in the meantime plenty of other guests checked in and got there keys. At 4:20pm we eventually got the keycard without any apology. The room was comfortable but very warm, the air-con didn’t seem to be working that well. We didn’t bother with breakfast even though it was included in our rate so cannot comment on that. We had the same member of staff checking us out as had checked us in and felt the customer service was somewhat lacking.

Dirty unkept room

Upon arrival at the hotel, we checked in only to be told our room type was no longer available and the only room we could have was 327, an accessible room. We dropped our bags in the room and left for our restaurant booking. Upon our return we realised the bed was not a double but single mattresses pushed together. The bedroom wall was full of stains around the bin area. The toilet / shower room was awful. No seat cover on the toilet. No drain cover for the shower floor. A hair bobble/elastic holding the shower head in place. I reported all this at check out. The reply from the 2 staff …. “Thanks for letting us know, we will inform housekeeping. It shouldn’t be like that.” That’s really not enough This booking to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we are leaving so disappointed.
