Reception staff not welcoming
App said to register car reg at reception for parking, staff insisted they didn’t have anything to do with car park despite there being a sign on wall at reception and it being noted in the welcome leaflet in the room.
Bedroom was very dark, hot, with windows that didn’t open, room decor was poor and very tired.
No towels, toiletries or tea facilities replenished, no bin emptied, no phone in room to speak to reception about these queries.
Bar staff went on break 20mins before happy hour ended leaving one young member of staff to deal with a long queue.
Hotel DOES NOT accept cash.
Hot water went off about 7pm (nothing coming out hot taps) then about 2 hours later brown water came through
Only one lift was operational.
Lots of men standing in groups smoking and on phones at entrance to hotel.
WiFi worked intermittently.
The bed was comfortable and the location is very central.
