Great hospitality.....but that plumbing

Mostly everything about the property was good. The staff was super friendly. Great hospitality. I just wish I was made aware of the modifications being made on my floor. I stayed there as alternative to being on The Strip to get peace and quiet. But the plumbing system was gurgling from the shower and sink for hours in the morning. It woke me up and kept.me up all day. Plus the shower pressure is meh. I am confident that is has been addressed. It will not keep me from wanting to stay there again.

Great view but the Hotel needs a lot of work.

We called earlier to ask about the pool if it was open and they said yes and told us it was heated. Of course the pool was ice cold and we could not even swim! We also booked a lake view room but we instead got a courtyard view with a little bit of the lake. We were staying for three nights and asked the next day to see if we can be moved to a lake view room but the girl at the check in was not very friendly and did not even try at all to help us. We were also looking forward to eating at the Steak house restaurant but of course they were closed for the three days we were there!the Spa was also closed and the gym in the basement smelled like sulfur. Aside from those experience, the rest of the staff was very friendly.

Again the check in clerk said she would waive the resort fees that were not waived - the Manager Wendy for the 2nd time was struggling to figure out what happen. Each time I stay there is a problem with the charges.

This no longer qualifies as a 4 star resort. Let's start with the room. The safe was not bolted down which really doesn't matter because it didn't work anyway (and the staff knows about it), the A/C didn't work (maintenance came in, stood on a chair from the room and fixed it), the sliding door would not lock with either the handle lock nor the secondary lock, the bathroom floor was just kind of gross, the hot tub was closed (one of the staff at the functional pool said it had been closed for as long as he had worked there), we rec'd a "Welcome cocktail" coupon that was only good for one certain type of cocktail (vodka, ginger ale and mango (I think), I asked the bellman if I could use his luggage trolly "No". Just a bunch of crap that should not be happening at a 4 star "resort". I stayed here years ago and it was wonderful but this time? No. A Best Western would have probably been nicer.

Grossly overpriced food for the quality. The place is a dump aside from the public spaces. Had to call twice to get my TV remote fixed and get my toilet unstopped. The girl answered the phone condescendingly and i was very tempted to go down and cause a scene. The nice guy who came to the room to fix the problem told me he was a one man show that night. Felt sorry for him and if tye front desk would have explained that i would have been a lot more patient. Though not having a toilet is a really big problem the way the front desk handled it was unacceptable. One maintenance guy for a place this big is laughable. This speaks to tye quality of the managment.

The property probably was fabulous back in the day. But half of the resort was broken/under construction/just not operating. In many areas smelling weird. Breakfast buffet is the whole another story, the condition of that area and the food… I really hope they will do major improvements. Our goal was to stay away in the resort style place while we were on the work trip away from noise and casinos. But what we got is overpriced glorified basic hotel. Also major disappointment is that we reserved and paid for king suite but what we got is 2 full tiny beds. And just excuses from stuff that they can’t accommodate and the way they settled it with breakfast vouchers….

Everything but the water temp was good. Shower water only Luke warm.

Only one issue

The only negative I have is that it takes the hot water 2 business days to get hot on the 8th floor. Not sure if it is because it is up on the 9th floor or what, but it ligit took 5 mins to get hot. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Westin on Lake Las Vegas.

Disappointed

On arrival - the check in clerk stated that there were no more King beds available after prepaying in full for the reservation, than I was offered a 50.00 credit on the room and two free well drinks. So, I said okay - went to the bar for the well drinks and Bartender gave me a premade drink and said that's what you get take or leave it its free. I left it or course, the barista in the Starbucks was a bad mood every morning. The valet Carlos was very nice and helpful. After eating dinner to use the 50.00 credit it was still charged to my card, and I had to make at least 3 phone calls to have the billing corrected. It was very inconvenient.
