This is a nice hotel located in a great location off the main Vegas strip. The room we had was clean and most of the staff I spoke to were very friendly (apart from the lady in the sports bar who I thought was rude). The pool is fine and we managed to get two sun loungers every time we tried. What I scored down on is that fact that everything is so expensive for example 1 cocktail and 1 beer £is £40 and I would of spent more if the drinks were cheaper but as it was I decided to spend my money elsewhere. The other thing that was a negative is that I told the hotel weeks in advance that we were coming for my girlfriend’s 40th birthday. They acknowledged it as a way to try to charge me more for an upgrade, instead a small gesture like a birthday card in the room would have gone a long way. Anyway, if you want a hotel in a good location I would recommend it. I just wouldn’t expect the hotel to show any form of acknowledgement for key events which normal top hotels do

Stayed four nights with a friend. The Versailles rooms are in the Versailles tower which is part of the horseshoe, which is also owned by Paris. The Versailles rooms are really nice and have been updated. It’s a walk to get to Paris. We dined at cafe Americana a few times and they seem very understaffed. Big lines with lots of empty tables. The nosh cafe is horseshoe is a joke. Surly workers and ridiculous high prices $18 sandwiches. I asked them to cut it in half and she handed me a plastic knife. We never had housekeeping service but kind of our fault. They don’t really come back if you don’t want them in the AM. We were able to get fresh towels. Hated the pillows. Lovely shower.

This hotel shows why vegas is struggling

Check in is a nightmare, even with the diy option as there wasn’t a notification about the room being ready. The room was large and beds comfortable. Bathroom spotless but the bedroom wasn’t as clean as we would like with a layer of dust on the minibar item and a thick layer of dust on the aircon vents. The windows were not clean inside or out which hampered our viewing. All of the skirting boards were damaged/flaking and needed a repaint which shouldn’t be difficult. The room wasn’t made up until our 3rd day and that was only after I complained. The hotel isn’t cheap for what to get - no tea/coffee making or breakfast and they then stuff you with over $60 per day resort fee, for which to can use the pool until 6pm. The one day we did use it, there were loads of drunk people and security ended up intervening to remove one guy, although it took them a long time to get round to it. If you want shade, there are no umbrellas but you can book the cabanas for extra which shows how the extort every cent where they can. Food was expensive although we did enjoy the Italian in the main casino. The F1 stands have already started to be built opposite at the Bellagio so banging was from 0700 - 2400 daily so avoid from mid September to December of you don’t want the noise. The location was good on the strip as it was close to ceasars and the Bellagio / New York New York. A taxi downtown is €27 plus tip each way. Casinos better downtown. Avoid at weekends and go midweek at a cheaper rate

Our room had an electric fixture dangling off the wall which made us feel very unsafe to touch. Additionally, our windows were so dirty/covered in something, we couldn’t see out the window to the view which is why we chose that specific tower/room. We could not find housekeeping to get new towels so we just had to use the same towel. Our room definitely needed some attention before the next person stays in it.
