Nice location...owners use different services , so some people had a warm welcome with leis and had breakfast and gym use. Others like us had no breakfast, a very perfunctory greeting. Would have liked to know there was no housekeeping unless we paid for it. No garbage collection till the 3rd day and mostly we took out our own trash. It was high end hotel price for self service stay. No luggage carts when we arrived or when we left. The pool was nice and the view in one room was nice. Again we paid the same price for both rooms and we had different views. At least the rooms were on the same floor. Appreciated the washer and dryer. Never had any contact with anyone from the facility except at the end. The low score is for not having transparency up front and the difference in treatment and no luggage trolleys. Nice location.

Beautiful location, Mario was the best for basket weaving lessons! He also taught so much about the local culture and history of Maui. He was great with our kids teaching us how to do traditional basket weaving. Rest of staff could be a little nicer the hotel is dated but still beautiful a real gem and the beach is beautiful and almost private do to the two hotels only having access. Beach club was awesome happy hour is worth it get the wings trust me they are worth it. We will stay again when coming back to Maui this place is just right hopefully they can update the rooms modernize them before we visit again

We had a great stay. Our 2B/2B GV was a perfect fit for our family. Two teen girls need their space and we need ours, so this set up was ideal. The kitchen and washer and dryer were awesome as well. The property is located within walking distance of food trucks, grocery store, and shops. Both of the pools were very big and well maintained. The beach left a little to be desired as there are two properties flanking it which prevent you from strolling down the beach for a walk but otherwise it was okay. It’s an adequate beachfront but not really Kaanapali proper. Just fyi you’re going to pay a $25/day resort fee and $10/day to park your car so that stings a bit when you’re checking out. The hotel has an on site restaurant that was pretty good, and there is a mini mart on property for everything from alcohol and incidentals to pancake mix and sunscreen. You have to pay to use the gym through a third party and an app subscription, so I didn’t bother. You get trash service on the third day but you have to request room cleaning for a fee. We just cleaned up ourselves and requested towels when needed. We enjoyed the sitting area on the balcony and the view of the well maintained resort grounds. To sum it up we really enjoyed the stay. We were there for eight days and usually back in the room at 7:30/8 at night so having the extra room for our family at night was really nice. If you really want to experience Kaanapali beach you may want to look at the properties South of Black Rock.

Really beautiful and super comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend for families with older teens. Beautiful grounds and pools. Hot tubs were nice and hot. Loved the tiki torches and ocean views.

Love the space in our room. The view was amazing. Bed was so comfy. Full kitchen was so nice to have. Staff was so great and friendly. My only minor complaint was the bathroom did not have a vent and it got really hot in there when showering or using the potty for longer than 5 mins. Especially needing the vent for 3 adults using the bathroom other than that it was PERFECT! Would recommend it 100%. Oh yea one other thing I did not like was having to pay for parking. I feel like if you’re a guest of the property and already paying to stay there parking should always be included. 🙃
