Hotel advertised on the beach, it's not on the beach, very misleading. AC in the room needs work. The buffet is in need of a whole redo, it gets a 1 star rating. Toilet over flows easily, needs work.

Overall The staff were friendly. However the Hyatt regency in Waikiki is painfully below average and I expected way more for such a high price point. On top of 300$ a night rooms, You’ll then pay a 60$ resort fee and The “amenities” you get for the resort fee are beach towels and beach chair rentals if wanted. Parking is 80$ for valet service which is almost necessary since the parking structure is a terror if you have anything bigger than a compact car or 65$ to self park. We tried to self park, however had to eventually valet as all the self serve parking spots were full. Its also imperative to know that Each tower only has four elevators to accommodate 40 floors. during high traffic times like morning from 7-9 am or evenings from 4-8 pm expect to wait at least 15 minutes to get on an elevator. The rooms were outdated and had peeling and chipping paint. Our bed also had a puke stain dripping down the bedskirt which was a lovely welcome present. Lastly their pool is TINY, maybe 12 feet by 20 feet at most. Good luck finding a chair to sit at the pool at or renting one of their two cabanas or one of their 3 plush chairs. Overall I’m extremely disappointed and feel bamboozeled. The Hyatt regency was a huge bust and I will honestly never stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone. Do yourself a favor and take your money to Marriott.

They are building a new high rise right next door. You can see in my pics. I can NOT recommend staying here until that bldg is finished! The crew there gets started very early. It's incredibly loud. The room was adequate updated and had lots of electrical outlets. That was really nice. Elevators are kinda slow. Super tiny pool on floor 3. Hotel is right across st from beach. A definite plus. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants. The in room coffee was junk and the coffee spot on ground floor, wasn't much better, just pricier. We also had an iron that turned on but never got hot. Hotel DID accommodate an early check in. Charging a resort fee should NOT be for this hotel, but I imagine it's the way of all the other hotels. They need to offer a bit more to justify a resort fee to me.

Overall wonderful experience! The food in the hotel is expensive but GREAT! The only downside was the parking. The parkade is across the road and fills FAST. It’s $65 US PER NIGHT for parking and $85 US if you want valet. The valet parking is from floor 1-5 then self parking is 6-8, the floors fill up very fast and sometimes there is no parking. The views are beautiful and everything needed is walking distance from the resort. Beach is right across the road with free use of beach chairs !!

This hotel is a stone’s throw away from the beach, but if you have a rental car you will have to pay a $40 per night parking charge so keep that in mind! Restaurants and shopping is very accessible and just a few blocks away!

Had a great time at this property. Ocean front room gave us awesome view of the ocean, pool and street. Property was clean and our room serviced every day. The gym was great, u could hit a workout at 5am, showered and fed by 630a and then walk to the beach and enjoy the day. Overall it was a great vibe. We would stay here again.

The Diamond tower made us feel like royalty. We were on the 39th floor and the ocean views and sunsets are top notch!

Huge hotel with tacky mall/lobby. Dirty floors. Cluttered signage. Good part is it’s right across from the beach Waikiki is sad. Gigantic concrete parking structures, terrible planning. Nothing green. Throngs of tourists. Can’t believe they call this paradise.

So one of the worst experiences I’ve had checking in. Hot, humid, long line with no option for electronic or online check-in. At least at other places I have had to wait for check-in, the lobby was air-conditioned. The room wa oceanfront with a spectacular view of Waikiki. The room itself was dated and worn. The bed, while ok is not as comfortable as their grand hyatt propertis. The pillows were too small for a king bed. The staff faithfully refreshed the room each day at a convenient time. There was only a problem one weekend day when they came later than usual and we were not able to let them in at that time, but was rectified with one call to housekeeping. Though not right on the beach. It is convenient enough to be right across from it is separated only by a smallish street. In terms of food, there were four options, none of them stellar with two exceptions: the breakfast buffet was very good and the ahi poke bowl at Swim was outstanding. (Tiny pool ) Kai coffee was pretty good and had all the basics. The dinner buffet was shocking both for its lack of choices and for food handling standards. Many of the deserts were left out in the heat and humidity and looked it. The kimchis were very good though. Also, you may not have bought tickets to the low qualify luau with a Don Ho wannabe and a badly off key female singer, but you will be forced to hear it anyway at the dinner buffet. This might be good enough for tour bus tourists, but does not a resort make.
