The hotel is old, but it has been renovated nicely. The location is fantastic. The dining and shopping off nearby are unparalleled. The air conditioning works very well, which is frequently a problem in hotels on the beach.

The rooms were clean and the staff was nice, however I paid for an oceanfront room and did not receive it. Not only did I not get the stunning oceanfront view that I booked for myself and my wife for our honeymoon, the view I got was right into the tower of a nearby hotel. I could see directly Ito the rooms of others which means that is exactly what they could do to us on our honeymoon. Not only was that not what I paid for, but it was also a HUGE invasion of privacy as well as uncomfortable.

The bathroom had an old urine smell. All of the bottles in the shower labeled shampoo, body soap and conditioner were all filled with the same thing. We guessed it to be shampoo. The carpets throughout are old and stained. The hot tub was too crowded to enjoy at all hours with children splashing around. We did receive a 20% off coupon for the pool restaurant but didn’t have the time to use it being by the beach all day. This hotel did not resemble the photos except for the lobby. The lobby was clean and nice. We enjoyed the aquarium tank there but the rest of the hotel was very average and we felt it to be overpriced for it’s condition.

The picture ocean front room seem lot closer but there is building blocking. The staff was very bad not friendly and not helpful. There separate lounge for Japanese guests which is big red flag anyway p

Beautiful views and clean rooms. Thin walls and i could hear the next door neighbors until late into the night every night and twice, the neighbor tried to open the door that separated our rooms. The hotel helped after I reached out to them about the noise.

Our stay at the Alohilani Resort was amazing. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Waikiki and steps from the beach. The property was extremely clean, modern, and well cared for. Everything felt comfortable and relaxing, making our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting Hawaii.
