Fabulous location, great pool amenities and lobby. Staff very friendly. Room size good and view amazing! Unfortunately the room smelt so badly it was difficult to spend much time in the room. I did ask twice for it to be deodorised however this was not done. It was a cooking fatty smell possibly from kitchen exhaust? We were on the 5th floor. In hindsight I should have requested to move rooms it was that bad. Disappointing given the cost. Also I did have to ask for room servicing to be done everyday and it didn’t get done at all on the last day.

I was really looking forward to this stay but the hotel was not a five star experience by any means. Hidden fees, construction at all hours outside the room, no beachfront (but you can kind of see a portion of the beach from the room), the pool is covered in shade all day, the restaurant staff were argumentative, the fees were way more than communicated (Expedia says the deposit is $50/night, but we got charged $500 for seven nights). Overall extremely disappointed and would urge the hotel to change their rating to a three star and remove the ‘beachfront’ claims to avoid further disappointments.

The room was always clean, and the location was fantastic. If you’re coming to relax, lounge in the beach and recharge don’t even bother renting a car everything is walking distance. Food was fantastic everywhere in the area. Very safe area lots of police always patrolling. There is a Macdonald across the street which is open 24/7 so when that time difference hits and you keep waking up at 3am hungry breakfast is easily accessible.

Hotel was beautiful, we paid in full at booking, upon checking were charged a resort fee, parking, and deposit for room that totaled over $1200. Outrageous cost beyond “price of room”. Would not recommend hotel for this reason. To have paid in full and have to pay over $1200 at check in is more than anyone reasonably expects.

With this being our first time in Hawaii, the Alohilani hotel was awesome. From the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff, everyone was so nice. We had a great view of the water and the pool. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.

Great location. Slow check in process. Don’t waste your money on rooms with partial beach view because partial practically means none as the way the hotel is designed there is a big side wall on the balcony which doesn’t give even the patial view unless you are prepared to lean over the balcony bars! House keeping and poolside staff were very friendly and nice however the same cannot be said about the reception and concierge/bell staff.

I thought I was going to have a better view of the ocean but that building infront of the property killed my view. I had a big problem with the manager from the pool Saturday night 11-8-2025 round closing time. He was very rude and disrespectful it made me not want to go to the pool after that anymore. I also forgot my portable charger that night and went back to get it and he made a remark saying like it’s his now. Not cool not professional and this is who the hotel puts as a staff member who’s supposedly a supervisor. Smh
