The lagoon, pool, and bar were the highlights, along with the views which were stunning. The rooms were fine, a little run down but nothing more than most hotel rooms. The partial ocean view was really nice, annd even with the noisy bar next door, we left our door open to listen to the waves which was a great way to fall asleep and wake up. The location is great! Walking distance to restaurants, coffee, Shave Ice, shopping, and lots of other neat things in the area.

The welcome upon check in was a little rocky feeling, we were stressed from a long travel day and didn’t feel put at ease while checking in, as I felt the staff could have been more welcoming. The first night was rough as our bed was uncomfortable and didn’t feel like a hotel bed. We were able to request a mattress pad and more pillows and that greatly improved our comfort and sleep the following night. Aside from that, we were given two rooms with the ocean view which was not our original booking, so that was a HUGE plus and we are very grateful we got to experience that. Although we knew going in the lagoon tower was undergoing renovations, we hardly noticed it - even walking the long way around to the other entrance by the lagoon was not a big deal in the slightest. The pool was great and we were always able to find a seat, even on its busiest days. The room and bathroom were well cleaned and we did feel comfortable after the first night. I would recommend staying at this resort and absolutely request the ocean views. We also got to enjoy morning yoga by the ocean and saw a whale and dolphins. It was incredible and if we are on the big island again, we will request the lagoon tower ocean view room.

Great service, very clean, nice location right next to the beach. The restaurant in hotel has good food, reasonable prices; we could watch sunset while eating in there. We enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended!
