Stunning 2 Bedroom Luxury Cottage 300 feet from Poipu Beach Park

This custom designed Hawaiian plantation style cottage is located just off the Brennecke's beach side of Poipu Beach Park, 100 steps to the beach!

This spacious house was designed and built in 2013 to be the perfect vacation retreat - its plantation style allows it to blend in with the historic neighborhood, while offering every modern luxury. Outside is a barbeque grilling area, a garden shower accessible from either the master bath or from outside, and under the Plumeria Tree is a landscaped 5 person hot springs style hot tub. Enjoy the 2 master, air conditioned, suites with plush king beds, flat screen TVs, pedestal tub, and outdoor garden shower, and full size front load washer and dryer. The open plan great room opens up to the large lanai with 22 feet of 8' high folding doors, and the 9 1/2 foot high walls, vaulted ceilings, large double hung windows, and ceiling fans keep the place breezy and cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned to keep you comfortable all night long. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized french door refrigerator, whisper quiet dishwasher, gas range, walk-in pantry, granite counters, open shelving, and fully stocked. The sound system through out the living area as well as the lanai is set up for surround sound TV watching, listening to Pandora, or you can wirelessly listen to your own music collection from your smartphone. This property was amazing. From the location and proximity to Poipu Beach, to the design and amenities, we couldn’t have found a better place to stay during our trip to to Kauai.Besides the beach that lay just steps away from the house, the covered porch tended to be the place where we spent the most time. With the accordion doors open, and the ocean breeze, it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy our getaway.

Beautiful home and location

Our stay at the beach cottage was wonderful. The home is beautiful, thoughtfully furnished and is so close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, the air conditioned bedrooms and the outdoor shower. There are enough boogie boards for the whole family, which we used daily at the beach. We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Kauai.

Karen and Brent’s cottage was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were so impressed with the attention to detail and how beautifully done everything was. The space was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking, and they had all the essentials for enjoying the beach.Go to Kalapaki Joe’s for happy hour—great deals, delicious food, and excellent drinks. We loved watching the turtles come up on the beach at night—such a special experience.This was truly one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Huge thanks to Karen and Brent for sharing this beautiful space with us. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat!

This is the most perfect beach cottage. Stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The walk to the beach is so easy. Spending evenings on the lanai listening to music and playing games was a highlight. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wouldn’t change a thing!

If you’re staying in Kauai, you can’t beat this home and its location. It’s a beautiful home. The walk to the beach is less than 2 minutes, max. All beach supplies (boogie boards, chairs, wagon to transport) are provided.The deck is large and perfect for dining. Hot tub, outdoor shower, amenities . We did walk to the clubhouse (15 minutes or so) to use the pool, work out club and restaurant (reasonably priced in comparison to some surrounding establishments) a few times. Would highly recommend!

Great house to explore Kauai from!

The house is in a great location on the south side of the island - just a few steps away from Brenneke's Beach & Poipu Beach. Was perfect for my husband and our teen daughters. Used the gas grill and beach gear. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working during our stay - a main reason why we booked this house. But, the owner tried to get it fixed as soon as he was made aware of the situation, but wasn't able to get the parts in time, so he did refund us 1 night stay - which helped make the situation better. Definitely would recommend to anyone traveling to Kauai. A great place to explore and relax from.

Charming Plantation Style cottage

No air conditioning for living room & kitchen.

We stayed 6 nights in early May. In the afternoon and early evenings the west facing porch is stiflingly hot and humid. It was very pleasant in the morning and late evenings with a nice coastal breeze. The nearby beach is quite nice. After a day on the local beaches it would have been nice to come home to a cool house for dinner and relaxation. The living room and kitchen were oppressively hot and humid. Mowers and leaf blowers roared 2 of the 6 afternoons. Thank goodness there were wall mounted air conditioners in the bedrooms. We ate our dinner in the bedrooms for relief from the heat. This review is not all bad. The house was nicely equipped and clean with an outdoor shower to shake the sand.
