Lighting in hotel reception area very dark as is walk into hotel from car park, rooms well kept and clean although very warm and not much air flow, had to ask for a fan, beds comfortable, overall enjoyed stay with hotel nicely situated in easy walking distance of town and restaurants.
Excellent location, Lovely clean modern bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower. Nice breakfast in the fat Badger which has super decor. Parking was extra but could stay until 2pm on day of departure. Only downside was room was rather hot we opened the window but room was next to kitchen roof so the extractor fans were noisy, luckily we took our own portable fan.

Point of detail about shower cabinet - would benefit from shelf for soap & shampoo etc to save huddling about on the floor.
The room itself was pleasant and comfortable. Unfortunately it was massively let down by being directly above the bar which was busy until past midnight. The single glazing sash windows were rotted so had gaps meaning trying to sleep was like trying to nap on the bar! You could hear every laugh, conversation, etc. I haf also looked for somewhere that included parking and it wasmt made clear at booking that this woyld be an additional charge.

Ok
We were on a second floor. Room wasn't cleaned properly, dust on a carpets around the bed area. Table where coffee tray was located had spillage marks on them. And floor was very squeaky. Also room wasnt air conditioned so we had a window open all day/ night as it was super hot in a room. There was a fan in a wardrobe. Room was located above the outside bar seating area so it was very noisy all night ( till about midnight ish) . Location of the hotel is amazing !
Large spacious well presented room, only thing we found a bit of an issue, was the bathroom was not in the room, you had your own private bathroom but it was down the corridor so a bit of a pain if you just wanted to nip to wash your hands etc ...
Woken up twice to unplanned fire alarms within the space of 2 hours. Room was like an oven! Was very difficult to sleep. As soon as someone walks anywhere near the room, you can hear everything. Walls must be like paper.
our room and bathroom were both clean, spacious and had what we neede
d for the few days we were there

If you book, ask for a room at the front!
We were looking forward to some well-deserved R&R. Unfortunately room 301 did not give us the peace and quiet we were hoping for.
Not only was there a flapping piece of wood somewhere we couldn’t locate, but the breeze could, we also had the pleasure of listening to the glass bottles being tossed out at 22:45 then again at 6:30 this morning.
The room was ok, clean and tidy. The water pressure was interesting - I took a quick shower in the morning and the pressure was intermittent between ok flow and low flow.
Overall, the room served its purpose, but we won’t be returning.
Well located for the town, bedroom was well appointed but the carpet could have down with a good vacuuming.

The hotel is in a good with payable parking nearby. The hotel staff aren’t the most friendly I’ve ever come across and the room itself was small, dated and very warm. We had a poor nights sleep as a result. I don’t think I’ll be booking this hotel again when staying in Harrogate unless some improvements are made to the rooms.
