Good Location if you like a walk into town.

located a 15 minute walk to the old town York. Stunning town which oozes charm. Such a great selection of eateries, departments stores and old world charm Harry Potter style stores.

I had a high expectations especially at £244 per night but my experience was that budget hotels are better compared to this one. The reception staff were poor and not bothered to see their customers. The bar are was scruffy and neglected. No clean tables to sit at. The dinner reminded me of cheap airport hotel quality. Sad and bland. The room meant to be Deluxe but it was less than average at least it was clean. Also no air conditioning! Only dusty fan in the cupboard. Breakfast was equally poor experience. I will definitely avoid Marriott hotels in the future and certainly would not recommend Delta Hotels to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere!

Lovely but avoid if it’s very hot!

The hotel was lovely but we started on the 3rd floor and it was so hot that we were unable to sleep, despite having 2 fans on the go. We then were moved to a different room with Air Conditioning. However it was also roasting hot and again, too hot to sleep. The staff did everything to help but it’s just one of those things.

Good hotel but guests aren't a priority

Bar, Restaurant and Breakfast options were good, lovely terrace garden, check-in was brief but efficent. Hotel downhill from there - rooms quite dated, albeit clean, bed good. Swimming pool very old, tiles falling off or removed, quite dirty and locals use prioritised over hotel guests - pool very small anyway and had half of it rented out to baby/toddler/childrens swim sessions - not what you want on a relaxing break!!

A 4 star fail.

I should have realised on seeing a plug in heater and a pedestal fan in the room that the Aircon doesn't work but the newish AC control threw me into thinking otherwise. Windows that only open a fraction and warm weather meant the room didn't drop below 25° and I struggle to sleep in such heat. A relaxing recovery break, nice walk round historical York by day and get a little out of the city for a quiet night, was spoilt by not being able to sleep. Next time it will be a 2 star Travelodge type place with temperature controlled rooms.

The only thing that could be improved on is the helpfulness of the reception stafff as in, deflecting questions about our dinner booking to the bar staff who we were expected to queue up to ask about our dinner reservations….which although booked online as per their request email, did not even exist. Ordered an aperol spritz which was on their drinks menu and they had no aperol, then decided on a gin and tonic which was totally flat due to the tonic on tap - however they did replace it with a fresh tonic from a bottle. So just little niggles, but is it too much to expect better service .. 🤔

Hotel was pleasant but finding your room can be a mission! Nice bar & restaurant on site and access to the pool area was a nice bonus. Walkable distance to the main city and staff were nice. The bath plug didn’t seem to work though.

Everything about this hotel was truly wonderful. On arrival we received a warm welcome followed by a free room upgrade. The room was roomy, well equipped and clean. The hotel facilities also did not disappoint - the spa was a good way to start the day, whilst the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back if we are ever in the area again

Was our first time staying here. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, easy to find. Room was good, bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade. Would stay here again.
