It was due for myself but my friend ruined my trip when I had the kindness to allow my friend to come with me when my friend became aggressive with the receptionist who was trying to do her job and I felt like telling my friend to shut up and because my friend was so aggressive with the receptionist she cancelled our stay and my trip was ruined so I made my friend come back to London and go back home in Essex and anyone messes with me they get their reset button.

The hotel has a great location, had a great view of the sea, but is very tired/dated. Breakfast was truly awful. Definitely not worth the extra money - not even a decent coffee (served luke warm out of pump flasks). We felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff

The room (209)we were given was lovely, but my mattress on one of the twin beds needed changing. I could feel the springs. The outside of the hotel needs thorough clean, if not decorating. The blue tiles at the entrance of the hotel would still be stunning if washed.

We had a nice stay, staff were friendly polite and attentive. However the building its self is looking tired, carpets in hall ways had many stains. The room was sufficient but dated. Shower was powerful. Bed was comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee to enjoy. The room needed decorating, odd bits painted near the ceiling, some in grey against the white started not finished. Wall paper coming off the wall. Lamp shades dented. Window broken Housekeeping could be better back of bathroom door filthly from hands and light switches dirty. This may sound picky but for £165 for the night i feel i have the right to be. As this was not a cheap stay. Breakfast was very nice plenty of choices which was a buffet style.

Room was clean but very tired and unappealing in the way it was presented. A green light (linked to emergency lighting I suspect) lit up the whole room for the night which wasn't good for sleeping.

In terms of value for money absoutely terrible. This one superb hotel has not had a penny spent on it in 40 years and is in in shocking condition. Add to the fact that we had no running water for a portion of our stay and the manager hid away rather than face the guests and couldn't authorise any refunds...

No water

Cannot believe this hotel continued to book guests in,even though they had no water the night before,we had no water last night and upon complaint were given a jug of water to brush our teeth etc.There are many problems with this hotel and i would not visit again.£150 for one night stay in a grotty room with no water,how can this be right,think they should pay compensation for lack of care but i know they wont ,total rip off .
