Not worth the cost of >$300 per night for being close to cruise lines. Other hotels are more affordable and have more updated facilities and rooms. Advertised hotel transportation to cruise line but was misled because we were setup with taxi that we had to pay for instead, which is the main reason we stayed at this hotel. Buyer beware.

Ask for an upgrade

We had an overnight stay before boarding our ship the next day. Parking for me was great and complimentary but I do think there is a charge normally. At reception we were met and our cases were taken care of by the porters, receptionists x 3 were at hand for booking in. We had booked a standard room So I asked if we could upgrade and was given a superior room with balcony and views of the Solent and cheap as chips. Our cases were in the room as we got there No struggle. The bed was a king size and bathroom had bath and separate shower. My only criticism, the step up to the shower was too high for me. Dinner was at Marco Pierre White restaurant and was excellent and at a reasonable price. Our sleep was long and uninterrupted (bliss). Morning coffee provided. Our breakfast experience was one of the best we have had in Southampton say no more. Would we stay here again? Mmmmmm. You bet your life we would. Well Done!! Ken & Jill Haycock.

We arrived at the hotel at 4pm. Party of 4. Our second room was not ready until 6.45pm. Front desk staff communication skills were very poor and very unhelpful. We found out on gaining access to second room that door would not open. It was a terrible experience.

Great location for the harbour with nice ammenities. The spacious balcony was a real bonus with the nice weather. Unfortunately they were let down by a couple of slips in customer service. Firstly a question i sent the hotel before arriving was never answered. Secondly a used glass in my room was turned over to make it look like it was new/cleaned by room service, however, it was sticky for the previous days drinks. A real disappointing lack of doing the basics properly
