Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The room seemed fine at a glance but when we getting settled in we noticed quite a few things that suggest it was not cleaned properly and/or lacks maintenance. The toilet was left "dirty" if you get my drift. The mini fridge cabinet had been moved and unplugged and had milk runs down the side of it. One of the chairs had discarded tea and sugar packets left on it in pain view. One of the towels provided had a big hole in it. They clearly have a problem with damp as the you can see the patches of discoloration and cracks on the ceiling, as well as glossy patches where they've just painted over it previously. The windows have secondary double glazing inside as it's an old building with sash windows but the double glazing was missing a pane and otherwise looked like it was from the 90s. You could also see the blackening on the window frames where the condensation is likely rotting the frames. We found the bed to be very firm. It felt like an old standard spring mattress not anything modern with pocket springs and a foam topper etc. The sheets also seemed like they were quite old and had seen better days.
