The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms were spacious. The doormen were friendly and welcoming. The staff on the front desk were hit and miss, we had one lady who was very polite and then another who was very indifferent when speaking to you. We were not given enough towels in our room. I called down for a shower cap which was never delivered. For this type of hotel, you’d expect a shower cap already in your room. The biggest plus point for this hotel is the location and I believe that is what you’re paying for.

Good service

Had to leave very early in the morning to catch flight but had no problems, with the concierge handy to open doors. Concert next door but ample bar staff following end of concert. Stayed on 3rd floor, floor boards very creaky not sure if this disturbed people in room below.

Horrendous. This was utterly horrible. First room had MOULD. Second room had moth infestation. Also there’s zero air con. You can see how this place was literally knocked up from an old house with zero thought for the comfort of the guests. Just horrible. You had to have the windows open as no are con. Then at 5.00am someone is outside banging metal against metal and then more noise from the bins. Then at 7.00M rancid oil fumes from the kitchen. It was farcical. Got no sleep. They pretend they are a four star hotel standard, but they actually have zero star rating. Ask them! Nice staff but they have no agency as the manager and owners are AWOL.

Stayed for one night, which seemed shorter with a 4pm standard check-in time. But both the check-in and check-out experience were smooth. The interior of the hotel is nice, the room was nice, with a comfortable bed and good shower. Not too keen on the room keys, they're not credit card style, so a little bulkier than I'd have liked rather than something that fits in my wallet. Breakfast was great. A good self-service buffet selection with all the usual items (but only one working coffee machine).

We had booked two double rooms - but none had a view. The first one looked at a big air conditioning machine which was very noisy and we asked to change rooms which was granted but the next one looked at a grey wall. Our son’s room had also hardly any natural light come in. Whilst both rooms were tastefully furnished, we would have loved to get some air and have a view. The most curious was that we had to ask for a toilet brush - and were then told that these were only provided upon request… Breakfast was great with a lot of choice and the staff was very friendly. Overall, it is a landmark hotel but we have now seen it once and for us it would not warrant the price for a repeat visit.

Enjoyed visiting the iconic Brighton Grand Hotel. Location was ideal for the event we were attending at The Brighton Centre. Critique of the hotel was that the bathroom fittings were loose and plug in sink didn't retain water. Surprised radiator wasn't securely fitted (rocked). Mini bar was non existent. water. Would expect to have the option of drinks. Bar area was small and large sofas not practical.

Brilliant hotel

I lovely the grand. Everything is freshly refurbished. Great attention to detail (e.g. USB-A and USB-C port as well as power socket on both sides of the bed) and luxurious (e.g. dressing gowns provided). For the price paid it was brilliant value
