The hotel is situated directly at the waterfront, close to the pier and nearby lanes. It was wonderful to be so close to everything and have plenty of dining options. We stayed in a family room with a view of the Town Hall and were lucky enough to witness around seven weddings—an amazing sight, even without a sea view. The parking was very convenient, and the service was exceptional; everyone was incredibly friendly. Our first visit to Brighton was fabulous, and the hotel played a big part in that!

Great location on beachfront which is reflected in the price - rooms are modern and well appointed. I had a maintenance issue which was solved promptly. Downsides are that the recorded directions for the car park are out of date - you need to head for Black Lion Lane to access the Lanes Car park and the tv only works if you are able to cast from your mobile device.

I paid over £330 per night for a small family room. From the moment we entered, the first impression was poor: dirty, worn carpet on the stairs, dirty wall and cheap, patchy maintenance work throughout. The furniture in the entrance and reception was also stained and worn with visible threads in the fabric, giving a neglected and shabby feel. The reception toilet was in an unacceptable state, dirty with no tissues and water all over the sinks and flooring. I honestly don’t know who gave this hotel 4 stars. In our room, the bathroom door lock didn’t work. I actually got locked inside and had to struggle for several minutes to push the door open. When I reported this to reception, they sent a maintenance man who was surprisingly aggressive in manner and insisting “It’s just a spring, you need to pull it hard.” For £336 per night, I certainly didn’t expect to wrestle with a bathroom door just to use the facilities. Unbelievably poor experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff were excellent but don't stay in a seafront room at the weekend as the bar on the beach opposite plays very, very loud music until 3 am, so you will not get any sleep.

Could be more user friendly.

Great location hotel and has everything you need as large hotel. Not boutique. I tried to alter days well in advance but hotel said no. Quite unhelpful until I got to the hotel and they had cancelled my stay. Fortunately I had hotels.com booking and they found us a room.

Lovely hotel

The hotel was lovely. Very clean and smelt amazing. The gym and swimming pool were kept clean throughout the day. Location of the hotel was perfect for beach access and great food spots too

Good size room with 2 king size beds. Bathroom slightly on the small size for a family room but workable. Parking isn’t the best and the charge is a little too high I think. Staff were lovely and friendly. Very helpful always. Location is perfect. We will definitely be making this our go to hotel when coming to Brighton.
