Don’t come here if you intend to swim because you need to book in advance and it is always fully booked, also they allow swimming class from external guess, so no chance for guess to swim. Most importantly , pool is super small

Good, but could be improved

The staff were amazing, especially at reception and the health club. The rooms were a bit of a let down after the stunning lobby area. There was mould in the shower, sofa bed was uncomfortable, lots of areas needed paint touching up and filling, shower leaked, surprised not to have bottled water in the room or a fridge.

Great Location

Friendly on arrival. Able to check-in earlier as the room was ready. Delicious cookie presented on check-in The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable In our room 223, the safe was on the floor in the wardrobe, so this may be an issue for some. Unfortunately the food in the Metropole bar left a bad taste. That said the staff were friendly and helpful and no issue with the food being returned

Rip off parking!

Cannot fault the beatiful hotel, brilliant staff, amazing breakfast with fantastic variety and quality of food. But parking described as 'self parking' with no further explanation, did not know what to expect! Bonus having the underground secure car park but hotel is sifficiently priced, to offer 'reduced ' parking for guests at £27 per 24 hours was an additional cost we weren't expecting. This did mean we clock watched and left at the 48 hour point when really could have done with the '3 day break' we were so looking forward to that was reduced to two. Did not feel the extra hourly charges on top were justifiable in staying. Parking in Brighton is a nightmare so parking elsewhere wasn't an option.
