This is the second time we have stayed at the President hotel, it was our 14th wedding anniversary this time. The staff are lovely especially the breakfast staff. The rooms are clean but the beds are not that comfy they could do with either toppers or new mattresses . The shower we had wasn't very good but could still have one. You could tell they had been painting with gloss there was a little smell no problem but who ever did it got paint on the floor and hadn't cleaned it up (behind the door). I know this may sound a bit petty but clean up after yourself lol . We will still book again the good thing there are bus and tram stop outside the Hotel

Needs a little working at

The room looked nothing like online pictures, the bathroom smelled funny and had water or something leaking from the toilet, where I had to change my my socks and wash my feet every time I went in. There was paint splat all over carpet and furniture. The windows was dirty and the Tv wasn’t working properly. And the constant banging of doors was so loud kept waking us middle of the night. The bed though was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, but a few things was a little cold.

I stay here nearly every week and was upset tonight, admittedly i checked in late (10.15pm) but i had rung earlier to tell them this. I felt as though my room was assigned at the last minute, there are no bins, no tea and coffee facilities and no loo rolls.

Nice size rooms. Location excellent. Meals good. Difficult to navigate stairs. Meals too expensive. Parking too expensive. Breakfast and parking should be free to residents. For this reason, I wont go back.

Did not like from start of my stay,charged for parking when am disabled. Room smelt of smoke and urine, poor state furniture, bed sloped on one side. No plug sockets. Tv won't work from remote, kettle was dangerous to use. Shower was very small for larger set people. Noise from residents out upto 3am kept us awake. Also felt like i was staying in a hostel not a hotel. Place needs a massive overall, also police came to building twice which didn't give a good indicator of level people staying.this is the first time i would not stay again, what made it worse i sent two messages and not one reply back, which stays it all.

Amazing!

Great location I say about a 5 minute walk to the main attractions and a about a 2 minute walk to the pub and restaurants only one thing bad to say is they could do with the radiator on as the room got cold at night and the shower takes about 10 minutes to heat up but outh then that brilliant hotel

Hotel was clean, food was good with generous portions. Staff friendly with one exception. The bloke on reception desk was more interested in the football match commentary on the radio than attending to guests. Other discrepancies evolved, all bar one where "to much trouble" for Mr. Attitude on reception. A two night stay ruined by the Attitude ofva single member of staff.

Not as good as previously... lift was out of order

Have stayed before... room was lovely... breakfast great... but non-functioning lift left us unhappy... i know cannot be helped but many in hotel (including my wife) had mobility issues and needed the lift.
