Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, it doesn't feel like a 5* hotel:
- I booked spa treatment, my only request was for an intensive, deep tissue massage, but the masseuse was just stroking my back for an hour for £195, for this price you expect a good massage at least. I was asked to fill the questionnaire first to mention expectations, well, it was either ignored or not read at all. I told this at the reception after and I was told the manager would contact me but nobody contacted us or mentioned it again.
- we were waiting for our breakfast for more than 30 minutes, meanwhile there was no food left in the continental breakfast - no ham, cheese, or even a croissant, etc! There were empty plates. We were sitting and waiting for food and the food was just average, if you have a choice - don't buy the breakfast in the hotel, it's better to have it in one of the local cafes and it will be much tastier!
- parking costs £45 pounds a day
- I had to spend an hour working in the Canvas Room. I ordered tea, they brought me a used tea strainer with tea leaves in it. I had to ask for a clean one.
Well, the room was nice.
Overall it's a poor service and experience and really overpriced.
