Great Place

Hedley House is a warm friendly excellently located hotel to see all of Yorks attractions. We had a mix up about paying for breakfast which was explained to us very fairly even though we had been told it was free when we booked. Our room was perfect with a nice large bed and we would certainly return here next time we need to stay in York. Parking was expensive but ideal in that it was on site even though getting to it is quite convoluted.

The hotel was in a great location to walk into the city centre and train station. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and serviced each day.

Beautiful property located an easy walk from the station and an easy walk in to town. Staff are incredible - super friendly and helpful. Property is beautifully maintained and comfortable, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. I would love to be able to visit again in the future.

Hidden gem to the rear

Family run and Greg the owner was very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy, breakfast was fantastic, modern clean bathroom, fast wifi, and there is a hidden gem out back a very nice landscaped garden to the rear with places to sit in the sun, enclosed seating area, gym and a jacuzzi. Location is great with just a 5 min walk into town. I travel a lot and this certainly stacks up for what i am looking for when away with work

Property was great, staff were friendly. I'd done online check-in so it was easy. My room was spacious, clean with a very modern bathroom and i love the fact theres a kettle in room. Bar in hotel was well stocked again friendly service and a great space to hang out as we worked out our plans for evening (i had colleague's staying in hotel). I didn't partake in breakfast but my colleagues did and they were very happy. Location is close to city centre lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Hotel has its own parking. All in all couldnt fault my stay.

What a lovely place! 10 minute walk to the main centre and the area is just absolutely gorgeous. We were blown away at how nice the room was and how big the bed was. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that’s within walking distance to everything and within a nice quiet setting, I highly recommend Hedley House! We will definitely be back!

Ms Colleen was lovely! Really enjoy the intimate setting. Beds were a little too firm but comfortable. Wish there was a lift to get out 7 suitcases to the 4th floor (3rd in UK) but I needed my exercise anyways.
