The hotel was excellent. It was very close to the centre and a quiet part of the city. The staff very supportive and always helped were possible. The pub attached was also excellent value for money.

Convenient Location

I likes the location a lot. I stayed in a small room. I have two flaws with my stay, but they are not deal breakers. The rooms are not well sound-proofed. Corridor noises and adjacent room noises are noticeable. Secondly, my room did not have a "do not disturb" door hang, and it had no real place for luggage storage.

Nice place to stay out of the hubbub of downtown Victoria. Very walkable. It’s quiet and clean. The room was fine for me— 2 people would be cramped! And the shower was very small! But it all worked just fine and I would consider staying there again if ever in the area. I didn’t not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

A truely charming Inn

Amazing find. Charming throw back to the Victorian era. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room still had the charm of an early twenty century Inn. The location was great and close to all the downtown shopping. I'll be back!

We stayed one night with our family. Staff was very friendly and arranged for a pack and play to be set up for our grandson. The hotel is old and had a lot of charm. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was very good! Hotel is walkable to parks, Fisherman’s Wharf and downtown. Great location My only recommendation would be to upgrade the carpeting in the rooms as they were quite tired.

The staff at the James Bay Inn was wonderful. Clean rooms and neat old world vibe. I dropped a ring down the sink and they retrieved it for me. Over the top customer service! Thank you for the great stay.
