Satisfactory Stay at Hilton

I am perfectly happy with my stay at the Holiday Inn. The hotel is located in the prime area of Burnaby and there is a walkway to Metro Town. Driving into and out of the hotel was easy with clear signage. There are more than enough parking for guests. The room was in good condition, although the staff did not clean it up one day for no good reason. The swimming pool was well heated despite the cold outdoor temperature. The hotel also brought me the convenience of travelling light, they provided two desktop computers for use by guests with printer for my online boarding pass. (Personally I'd prefer not to take my laptop with me when I am on vacation.) They did not charge for local calls, unlike many competitors. Finally, the complimentary buffet breakfast provided many nutritious choices.

The Holiday Inn Express Burnaby Metropole exceeded our expectations. It was very secure tho in a very busy commercial section. For us we were 20-30 minutes from our appointments. Perfect

Clean hotel located by the Skytrain. Breakfast was very good and had a nice daily variety. Breakfast staff and front desk staff were very friendly. The pool was too cold to enjoy. Our safe was broken and not functional when we arrived. They must not have checked the room for quality control before renting it out. After 3 complaints and 3 days it was finally fixed. I recommend not bringing valuables to the hotel if you need to secure it in a safe. I think the management might not care as much as the front line staff as they did not seem to take it seriously to rectify the situation in a timely manner. Good hotel that just needs to review quality control protocol and management accountability.

Impressed by the Positive Changes!

After a year of not staying at your hotel due to pricing, I decided to return, as the rates seemed more reasonable this time. I’m so glad I did! My stay was truly enjoyable, and I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. A special mention to Brandon at the front desk, who greeted us warmly and thoughtfully offered bottled water—a small but meaningful touch. Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised to find room slippers, earplugs, and sanitizing wipes. The bed sheets and pillows were exceptionally soft and comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. One of the most impressive aspects of my stay was the hotel’s commitment to inclusivity. I truly admire that you employ staff with disabilities in the breakfast area and provide clear communication instructions at each table—this is both thoughtful and commendable. Breakfast was another highlight! In addition to the hot food options and my favorite Cinnabon buns, I loved the congee, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and the vegetable tray with dip. The variety was fantastic. When checking out, the front desk staff once again offered bottled water for our journey home—another thoughtful gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. A helpful tip for future guests: be sure to ask for the updated hotel map, which highlights local restaurants beyond the big chains in the mall. Good overall. Good breakfast food options! Nice staff! Convenient location big time. Just a tad loud as sound travels through the front door of room easy! The doors shutting of other guests are so loud in the early ams and housekeeping starts way too early! Also, adding a hot tub would be a good thing.

This was such an enjoyable stay. The location is very central … and so close to rapid transit, shopping, a cinema, and a wide variety of restaurants. We didn’t come prepared to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Great free parking as long as you have a smaller vehicle. I don’t have an EV but I noticed 2 EV charging spaces. We are looking forward to returning soon.
