Upon check in were told to use the elevator down the hall. So we went to first elevator and key didn’t work so walked down further and key didn’t work so went back to confirm then was told keys weren’t activated. Restaurant hours were inconvenient. Hot tub was gross. Overall look was that the facelift was just covering up age and damage.

Poor check in. 4 elevators with improper directions. Eventually had to be shown by a staff member. Thermostat for heat does not work. There was an old heating system on the wall that was noisy which I had to disconnect. A fire alarm went off around midnight which staff were unaway of and went on for about 45 minutes. Another fire alarm went off in the morning for 15-30 minutes. Water tap was dripping much of the night. Noise in the wall which kept us awake WiFi password was incorrect Front desk language barrier

Room was clean as usual. Actually I chose this hotel several times since I came to Vancouver in 2019 though I only chose to stay there Three Days in recent one year. I have no complain about room’s cleanliness. But according to my horrible experience staying in Vancouver’s hotel, I carried an EMF detector while I checked in. Three days, Three times check-in,two different rooms,in both of them, my detector alarmed. Please pay attention about the bed-against-wall, the bed-beside table, the desk——It appears that the necessary safety checks were not carried out after the hotel was renovated. The disappointing thing is not only that. As an ID Fraud Victim, a Permanent Risdent whose ID was abused by those guys including IRCC employees, I found that every time the front desk who did simple checking job for me kept on wrote wrong personal information about me in their system even I already show my ID. The system should have function to remember guest once he/she stayed in the hotel before. But it is very interesting that on the third checking form there is only my name, but other personal information disappeared. If you are an ID fraud Victim as me, please pay attention to their front desk service, and try to get a paper check in form for memo—although they always refused to do that.

Bathroom was very stinky. I asked for candle or air freshener but they only had air freshener. It didn’t really help with getting rid of the smell that was stuck in the bathroom. The heater system didn’t warm up the room. It was cold.
