The staff were great. Place is dated and needs new paint, fix holes etc. Just an older place. Was clean enough and safe. The DTES is like 20 blocks from here. I didn’t feel unsafe at any point.

I wished that the hotel had a restaurant. After a long flight I would have appreciated a restaurant in the hotel rather than having to walk to get food. In addition, not too many restaurants are near the hotel.

I've stayed here before and it's always been a good experience. This time, my friends and I got back from a concert around 12 am to find the front part of our room flooded (like the immediate walk in area). We called the front desk and they came up to help clean the mess but they only brought a few towels. He let us know that the unit next to ours (and I think possibly above as well?) had flooded so the water in our unit was leaking through the pipes and into in our room. We were up until 2 am cleaning up. They never offered to switch us to another room and instead we had to worry about water leaking all night. we didn't get any sort of compensation or deal or even an apology from the front desk staff.
