Generally the hotel is dated but confortable. Our only two qualms were the musty smell of our outdated bathroom and the pool hours which are really not convient. We wished we could have gone for a swim after our days out exploring but the pool closes most days at 4pm. The hotel is really well situated with tons of metro stations close by and in the middle of Tokyo’s sights. The garden is beautiful and brings an oasis in the middle of a busy city. There are lots of dining options close by (within 10 mins walk) if you don’t wish to dine in the hotel. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The hotel next door is the New Otani (not the Garden Tower) and looks much more luxurious and seems to be a new build.

Beautiful hotel and the gardens were wonderful. It is also close to a train station for convenient access to the rest of city. The restaurants on site were great, but a bit pricey. There are several businesses located on site so there are a lot of people dressed up for business, so we felt a little underdressed in our casual tourist clothes. The room was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. We felt very comfortable.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay, and the breakfast was both delicious and satisfying, the room conditions left much to be desired. The room itself was fairly clean, but it felt very old and poorly maintained. The mattress was extremely soft and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. There was also a noticeable musty smell, reminiscent of an old house, which lingered throughout the room. The bathroom was another concern—there was a leak in the shower area, and the hand-held shower part was loose and falling apart. These issues made using the facilities quite inconvenient. Overall, while I truly appreciated the hospitality and the quality of the breakfast, the condition of the room needs significant improvement to justify the stay.

Absolutely fantastic stay… Seamless in & out, including all prepaid, which was all correct. E.g., Breakfast included and a king bed as requested. The rooms were larger than the average room in Tokyo. Very very happy will absolutely stay again. Thank you, Otani Garden Tower !!

Great place if you prefer somewhere more quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Very nice and helpful staff. 17 restaurants/bars within the facility, and had a beautiful serene garden. The pool is nice but closes at 4pm which we found very odd.

This was a great hotel to start our trip to Japan with. There isn’t a lot to do outside of the hotel, but it allowed us to figure out the train stations in a much smaller and less busy station. We stayed for three nights- 2 would have been ideal. By then we were ready to be in an area with more restaurants, shops, etc in close proximity. The room was great, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff were friendly.
