Staff are friendly, location is excellent. Very quiet area of San Francisco right next to Golden Gate Park, but it's 2 blocks from muni so you can get downtown (or almost anywhere else) in about 15 minutes. I also love the historical character of the building. Highly recommend this hotel for people looking for the slower, less touristy side of San Francisco.

I loved this little historical hotel. Best stay thus far in San Francisco. Super close and walkable to UCSF hospital, Golden Gate Park, dining options galore and of course the Haight-Ashbury area.

The friendly staff, free breakfast, and the location next to Golden Gate Park make this hotel an easy choice for our next stay in San Francisco. We also loved the free wine tasting -- meeting other guests was the icing on the cake.

Right next to Golden Gate Park

Very nice hotel with great location. It happened to be really warm when we visited so room got warm too. No air conditioning so opened windows which would have been perfect as far as temps but no screens on windows so had mosquito visitors. Besides that the hotel was lovely with nice breakfast.

Great location! Across the street from Golden Gate Park, and parking lot with reasonable fees (for SF). Good restaurants are walkable, as well as a Whole Foods Market one block away. Continental breakfast with hard boiled eggs, pastries, bagels, sausage, both pork and vegan, yogurt, cereals, juices, coffee and teas in a pleasant dining room. We hope to visit again!
