Hotel is well situated for touring the city poor signage for parking which has no drop kerb so struggled to get in with our low car the hole inside is well over due a complete re fit the room we stayed in 22 was as clean as you could get it considering the paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling stains on the carpet and TV barely hanging on the wall the bed was clean and comfortable enough for the 2 nights we stayed brakfast was well cooked and enjoyable this could be a great hotel given some time and investment
Dirty hotel. Has someone walk in my room (room 11) while I was asleep. Before they gave me a room that lets in cold air through window crevices and I was told there was nothing that could be done as there were about 8 rooms like that. 8 rooms??? Dirty itchy duvet and pillow. Dirt marks and hair in shower. Toilet kept flushing back and continuously found poo in it though I didn’t poo. Dirty hotel and extremely dilapidated!! It’s just a shanty village pub with stretches to rest your head. It’s disgusting and smells awful. Carpets are lifting, hardwood is old and seeping with dirt , it’s light brown but it is black cause of dirt. Lift dangerous pressed -1 and ended up behind a closed door quite scary. Feels like a low budget substance hostel. Outside is very dirty. The parking lot has loads of junk stuff in it, can be viewed from second floor. Unappealing. Before the visit I called the hotel to ask for an earlier check in had the receptionist yell “NO NO NO” very rude over the phone. And the manager commented on one of my reviews and said their staff would never well they did. Service horrible suits the condition of the ‘hotel’. Very unsafe. Having someone open my bedroom door. Further more room 11 door didn’t closed from outside had to use a plastic bag to force it shut . The pivot is dismantled. Bad lighting in the room . Nasty hotel! Should be a pub and not a hotel nothing royal about it . Very ghetto
I stayed only for one night and room was spacious ,bed was cosy and comfortable ,toilet was clean and neat but furniture looks very old apart from that it is good value for money

Car parking is only for 4 cars and its also used as a beer garden people standing all around your car putting their pints of beer on the roof of your car not very good, avoid this place on a Saturday if there is a football match on as it’s next door.
Staff were incredibly nice! We were surprised to find ourselves directly next to the Birmingham City match during the FA tournament and it was such a fun atmosphere!
The place is extremely rundown and in a rough area of the city. I would not stay there for free.
There was garbage everywhere around the building and foxes were eating the garbage at 3am during the night
The Wi-Fi does not work at all in the rooms. It works (although very slow) in the bar.
The road is extremely busy and it seems like there are no windows present. I barely had any sleep
The breakfast was decent and all the staff try hard. Traditional English breakfast made fresh for you but the basement smells like stale mold.
The owners should be ashamed. So dirty!!
I could go into great detail but my main concern is just to let people know that there are bed bugs in this hotel and if you stay here you run quite a risk of ending up transferring them to your home which I wouldn't wish on anybody. We stayed here and saw them/got bitten but when we have tried to tell the hotel about it (as have many others looking at the reviews - going back years!) they just deny it and carry on letting people stay there. This is totally unacceptable. If you don't know much about bed bugs then it's not just a case of getting bitten through the night, they are "hitchikers" and they travel around via people's luggage/clothes/anything they can get into. Please avoid!

2024 Xmas stay
Good place to stay. Could do with a lick of paint here and there. Window in room broken did not shut properly and because its on a main road, could here road noise, but not a major problem. Remote control for the telly did not work even after changing the batteries and telly screen broken But these things are not game changers so no big worry.
Right near Birmingham CIty Football club so if going to the match it is ideally situated and bust after the game.
Lovely friendly staff. Great cooked breakfast.
About a 40 min walk into the city but on the bus route and taxi easily available.
The property is run down. The window does not shut therefore it was very loud (traffic) Shower was not fully functioning, shower door broken could not close properly. Pictures do not look like the property in person. Staff very friendly
