It is a quaint old hotel with character. The lobby is welcoming and lovely eith overstuffed comfortable chairs. My room was quaint and comfortable. The staff were excellient and attentive.

Great location and roomy in the carriage house

We’ve stayed here several times and enjoy staying in the carriage house section. The place is homey and the grounds are well kept. The location is perfect in railroad square near a nice coffee shop and restaurants. The only thing is that the rooms could use a sprucing up. Some dated fixtures and bathroom decor. Could use more surfaces in the bathroom to hold our toiletries. And the thermostat is old school and the fan runs constantly and is fairly loud. That said, for the price and location and comfort of this hotel, well come back again for sure.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel La Rose!! Historic spot, spacious rooms, and very helpful and friendly staff. there are a number of amazing restaurants and coffee shops within a few blocks of the hotel. I highly recommend Grossman’s (in the lobby), Marla, Stark’s Steakhouse, Jackson’s, Goose and Fern, and Omelette Express, they are some of our favorites. Parking can be a challenge in Railroad Square so definitely opt for their private lot conveniently located across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!!
