The room was dirty, and the sink was clogged. We waited for a technician to fix it. When we asked for another room, the receptionist said all the rooms were occupied. This wasn't true, as the hotel wasn't very busy. The service at this hotel is completely nonexistent.

The hotel is beautiful and the gym was fantastic. However, our room was right next to the train station which made noise ALL day and ALL night. That just is NOT acceptable when you're trying to relax in your room during the day and every few minutes you hear the sound of train's horn. Moreover, because it is an older hotel, there weren't enough outlets for all of our electronics. Again, this hotel has so much potential but I will never stay there again unless I can be guaranteed a room that doesn't face the train station.

Staff was outstanding and room was spacious. Hotel was convenient to Gas Lamp District. Although, the shower didn’t drain well and toilet handle was broken. I would stay here again but make sure to mention the issue I had.

The hotel itself was a lovely historic building. The lobby was grand and inviting. Most staff very welcoming. Mathew at Pool area bar was stellar. The ladies at the bar delightful. The lady at check in counter could practice a little more graciousness. **Drawback** it’s extremely noisy at night. With the trolley or whatever blaring what sounds like a cruise ship horns multiple times at night. You MUST bring earplugs or a white noise machine. Slight musty smell to the rooms but makes sense for a horistic building. Beds and pillows extremely fluffy and comfortable. Food delicious and reasonably priced. I would give this place another star if it wasn’t for the few misses

Loud noise from train public transport well into night. Also the worst valet parking service in the history of valet services offered. No customer attention like opening doors or even unlocking doors whe bringing car around. Two young employees never even got off their phones. $52 stated charge per night. Not even worth $5.20.
