SpringHill Suites has become a favorite for our family, thanks to the spacious rooms that can accommodate four people fairly comfortably. I was in San Diego for a conference and brought my family along so we could spend time together and they could enjoy a bit of a vacation.
The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet and clean, and—perhaps my favorite part—the coffee was surprisingly good. It was nice not having to spend $4 a day at a local café just to get a decent cup. The breakfast buffet also exceeded expectations; my family really enjoyed it, which isn’t always the case with hotel breakfasts.
We did have a couple of minor complaints: the room never quite cooled down enough, even with the mild weather outside, and the pool felt like an afterthought. It was small and there was no hot tub, which was a bit of a letdown.
All in all, though, it was a solid stay and a great choice for families looking for comfort and convenience.
