Beach view from our balcony was breathtaking. We were able to see the ocean as well as the entire outdoor Coronado pool/outdoor service area. Hotel an easy walk to local shops/food. Great place w lots of history and charm.

I travel a lot and use Expedia to book due to the convenience of not being limited to one hotel chain's choices in the area. Occasionally, some hotel chains give you a low priority room or a "lower-tier" room. This is the case with Hotel Del Coronado. Great staff, restaurants, location, pools, etc. and a newly updated room. But the experience was just ok due to "resort view" room. Expected more as a Hilton Honors member. Our stay at the Hotel del Coronado was excellent. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Food and drinks are a little pricey but that was expected. I would recommend staying here the next time you are in San Diego.

We had a secluded poolside room with cabana. It was very pleasant to lay out scantily dressed on the sofa and having a nice cup of coffee first thing in the morning! It's a beautiful hotel rich with history. My boyfriend checked this off his bucket list and we had the best vacation together in beautiful San Diego!
