Check in was 3 o’clock I believe. We were a big group they were prepared and allow us to check in as soon as we arrived. Love it because I was tired. You get to use their bikes for one hour for free per guest. Hotel had restaurants, we were able to walk right onto the pier from our hotel. I was able to walk everywhere. I felt safe walking back to my hotel at three in the morning being a little intoxicated. At three in the morning, I asked if I could have my dress picked up in the morning for dry cleaning. They came 30 mins later. I’m glad they did cause I would’ve been mad to wake up at 7 in the morning to give to them my dress. It was ready by 5:30 for my event. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay at the Hilton.

In the heart of downtown but right on the shore so there were great night views, walkable restaurants like the gaslamp district, easy entry to parking and a clean up to date look. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a Starbucks and a small coffee shop on premises for quick coffee and food that was really convenient. My kids loved it and they ate free at lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overall, a great hotel. The only challenge was the baseball stadium was right across the street so it was hectic on game days.

It has a free shuttle to Coronado island every hour. There is a ferry about 10 minute walk also to Coronado. Shops within 20-30 minute walk. It is located near a music pavilion so you hear that all night. You are at the farthest end of the area that has restaurants and shopping so it is a hike to get into the thick of it. It’s basically a long walk but too short for an uber, and the bike taxis are $30 just to go 2 miles. It is very expensive upwards from $450/ night. The good is sub standard- they burned two appetizers. The restaurant manager made a huge deal about me sending two appetizers back which were burnt telling me they had photographed them. It was embarrassing! A couple items were removed from my room and they provided a $50 credit but did nothing to secure my room moving forward. The front desk could not extend my stay by one night at check in since it was booked through a third party. They insisted i use their app to book an entirely new room reservation! They refused to assist with Hilton honors points- again insisting i call a phone number. The front desk is severely incompetent. Hilton has no interest in customer satisfaction and they need a complete overhaul top to bottom. I have never been treated so badly ! And at $450/ night! The layout is not convenient- you have to walk outside and around the building to get to Starbucks etc, the pool is located far from the elevators and you have to walk through various lobbies to get to it. I paid over $300 per room for 2 rooms each. When I arrived to one of the room it smelled like puke and we asked to change room and was told that was not possible. Only got $40 off for one of the room on a mandatory fee. Pretty terrible experience.

I enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Bayfront. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness, which is very important to me. Everyone was friendly and the hotel was nice. We lounged in the pool area and tried their restaurant Hudson & Nash, both had a relaxing vibe next to the bay. Great location and beautiful view!

the thermostat in our room didn’t work, so we were unable to turn the AC down. they sent someone to fix it, but he wasn’t able to resolve it. He said he put in 62° on the computer downstairs but the thermostat wasn’t working with the computer so we weren’t able to adjust. Either way of the room was pretty hot over the few days we were there
