The property is dated. Once you walk into the lobby, a strong, pungent odor welcomes you in. The lobby carpet and couches are badly stained, carrying through the elevator. The room is no better either. The carpeting has stains everywhere, and the bathroom has stain marks on the walls and the bathroom door. The complementary breakfast selection was more of a continental breakfast - most are preheated. Once again, the cleanliness in this place is not a priority. Tables were not wiped, and trash cans were overflowing with garbage. The workers were busy talking in the back room rather than keeping up with the dirty tables, filling up empty food containers, emptying the filled trash cans, or mopping the sticky floors. They do not offer daily room cleaning, but they charge for daily parking.

Overall the stay was pleasant. The breakfast was great, the lounge and lobby were always clean. The only thing that we recommend is cleaning the carpets in the hallway and specifically in the rooms. When we first walked in the room, it had a strong odor like dirty carpet . We tried opening the window to let it air out but we were not able to. Every time we walked into the room it smelled the same. Overall the experience was good.

So, the bed was comfortable, and that’s important, but ac was freezing despite me changing settings; shower doors wouldn’t stay closed; counter top in room sticky and dirty; flyers stuck on doors for a local pizza place so a non-guest has access to the hallways; lights around the mirror in bathroom were 1/2 working….i won’t be back here. Oh, and they charge for wifi.

Overall my family and I had a good experience the only problem we had was that our bed was defective/broken. We had a long day with the kids at sea world and got to the hotel late in the evening. When we got there we all got ready for bed because we were very exhausted and turns out one of the beds was broken so we couldn’t sleep all night. We didn’t report it that night because we had both of the kids already sleeping and we were just very tired. Wish we didn’t have to deal with this, after all we did pay a good amount of money for one night. I did report it in the morning to Dennis in the front and then they went to go check the room and realized there was something wrong with the bed. After they just said to write a survey and that’s all. Wish things would’ve been handled a little different.

Check in was easy. Beds & pillows were fine, Nice to have options for free breakfast, however both days we stayed, eggs, sausage, and potatoes were cold even though they were in warmers. Maybe the warmers weren’t on? Would stay here again, next time we’re in San Diego.
