This is our go-to in Palm Springs. Beautiful grounds, location and price. This time was a bit of a miss, though. TV was confusing with no directions, power outlets were dead and the coffee machine cord too short to use. Uncharacteristic.

We had stayed here last year, and it was pleasant enough. So, we reserved for this year, reserving a king bed with pool view, knowing they have 3-floors of rooms facing the pool. The room we were assigned has NO pool view. Their advertising is false; classic bait and switch. In fact, the view is of the roof of the building. Staff, especially the manager, was not helpful when I insisted we be moved to a room with a pool view, which we had reserved. Then, she offered to cancel our reservation knowing full well there are no rooms available this weekend in Palm Springs. Told us to take it up with Expedia. She also threatened to tell me to leave. She and the desk clerk lied right to our face telling us the room we were assigned has a pool view. I have pictures. In the room, the TV on the wall is to the right side of the bed instead of facing the bed. Quite uncomfortable to watch sideways. Also, we saw no disclosure that they charge $50/night additional for security deposit. Oddly enough, this didn't show on our check-out. At over $400/night, absolutely not worth it! Not worth 50% of that. We will dispute the charges based on the hotel not providing the services for which we paid.

Rooms were clean and spacious and modern. The bathroom was clean but had outdated granite. Our room had a balcony with pool view. Pool area had a nice fire pit with room for 12 people. They don’t provide maid service but you can ask the front desk for more towels and water bottles. Location was excellent and very convenient to all shops and restaurants and museums. Would definitely stay here again.
