air conditioning was great! the staff was very kind and made sure we understood the policies. however, there was many bugs in the room and the floor was dirty. there was a musty smell entering the room but the ac was able to air it out. the bed frame and mattress were quite old and squeaky. overall, the hotel did provide what we needed but we were hoping for a little more cleanliness.

I spent 9 straight nights at this property for business and even just extended my stay 3 more nights. I would have preferred a quieter place, as the walls are extra thin. However, what it lacked in soundproofing it made up for in extra friendly staff and comfort. The rooms were updated and very clean and I found the beds very comfortable and even got along with the pillows! I come here four times a year and will be back!

If you’re looking for a clean enough room that’s close to Monterey sites, this is a good pick. It’s also very dog friendly with plenty of spots to have your dog go potty. Yes, the rooms are clean, but whatever they used to clean with smells really strong and all our stuff smelled like the cleaning solution after we left. The walls are also paper thin that you can hear the guests next door’s phone vibrating and every little step the upstairs guests make.
