This hotel was pleasantly surprising and very charming! I was hesitant when booking because I saw mixed reviews however I had the best time and the hotel grounds are beautiful!! The patio furniture and pool set up are very nice, the room was basic and on the smaller side, but very clean! We didn’t come to Big Sur, just to sit in the room so in truth it was perfect for us! When we were at the hotel, we spend most of the time at the pool or lounging in one of the many patio sitting spots. I would absolutely stay here again! With the price and what you get for it, I’d be stupid not to. 😊

The fireplace didn't work, ceiling fan was rocking when on, so didn't use. The blind was broken. Very unusual set up as well. It was not what we were expecting based upon pictures and previous reviews. Probably won't stay again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the start, the room was not properly cleaned — there was hair on the shampoo bottle and in the bathroom, which was very unpleasant. It was clear that housekeeping hadn’t done a thorough job. To make things worse, I was woken up by loud noise around 6 a.m., which went on for quite a while. It was impossible to get any rest, and when I mentioned it to the front desk, they didn’t seem particularly concerned. As if that wasn’t enough, I found a parking ticket in the room from a previous guest, which made me question how carefully the room had been checked before my arrival. Overall, the experience felt careless and unprofessional. For the price, I expected at least a clean and quiet room. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and improves their standards, but for now, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.

The front desk person was unfriendly. The room heater was at least 50 years old, loud and woke me up in the middle of the night. Bathroom has mold. Chair has stain on it. Breakfast only had 25 cents muffin and bagel with dilute coffee. No gym in the facility, unlike what they advertised.What a joke! Never stay there again. I do not recommend anyone to go there. Worst place ever!

Room wasn’t in the best condition, the fitted sheet had a rip, the shower curtain also had a tear. The refrigerator wasn’t clean in the inside it was a bit sticky. The tv was on a weird area, instead of being mounted or in the middle of the bed. Besides all that the location is convenient, free parking is appreciated, free breakfast is 2 cereals & bagels or bread & coffee, can’t complain about free food , also appreciated.
