Estuve 4 días y 3 noches en este hotel y no lo recomendaría. El precio por noche supera los $300, pero la experiencia está muy por debajo de lo esperado. La política de limpieza de habitación es solo bajo solicitud, lo cual ya sorprende por el costo del hospedaje. Aun así, solicitamos limpieza en dos ocasiones y solo se hizo una vez. El segundo día, simplemente nos dijeron que no contaban con suficiente personal. El desayuno incluido es muy básico, sin opciones destacables. Y lo más decepcionante fue la actitud del personal: poco atentos, desinteresados y con una actitud como si los huéspedes estorbáramos por haber elegido este hotel. No volvería. Por el precio que se paga, hay opciones mucho mejores donde uno se siente realmente bien recibido y atendido.

The individual(s) above my unit were a bit noisy. I could hear this individual's footsteps pace back and forth well into the night. The jets on the side of the hot tub did not work. It only bubbled from the bottom. After a round of golf or hiking, I really wanted to relax in the hot tub with the jets pulsating, massaging my back!

Great lil’ getaway stay!

Efficient staff upon check-in. The property is outside/inside, so a nice outdoor walk to our room, clean tidy area. Once inside the room hallway, a horrible smell of maijuana engulfed the entire corridor, heavy odor that made us sick to our stomachs. Once inside the room, pleasant, nicely decorated,cozy with the fireplace. Nice amenities with a microwave, coffee/tea bar with a small refrigerator. Bathroom was clean and had towels decorated as swans. Pool area had towels, a heated pool and jacuzzi. Everyone was respectful and had a great time with other guests. Had heavy footsteps and what seemed as kids above our room. Not a problem during waking hours, but couldn’t get to sleep after 10. Called the front desk, and she took immediate care of the situation. Slept very well, quiet, air unit was fantastic, no noise and probably had the best sleep of our trip at the Mariposa Inn. Breakfast was better than expected with a variety on”quick” choices of foods. Beverage bar included a variety of juices, coffees and water. Aside from the initial hallway odor, we would rate this place a 10!

I feel like I was bait and switched here. The marketing photos make this hotel look much nicer than what we encountered. The room was very dated and the spa in room was sketchy at best (didn’t use!). There was a terrible whining/whistling sound coming from the bathroom vent (I’m assuming). We had to turn on the exhaust fan to drown it out. The bed was like sleeping on plywood. I was so disappointed in this hotel and almost let it ruin our trip. Thankfully, we were only subjected to staying here one night as we made our way up the coast.

We LOVE this place. It’s a short drive to downtown Monterey, fishermans wharf, and Cannery Row/Monterey Bay Aquarium. There is also a nice shopping center across the street with a Petco, Whole Foods, and other shopping restaurants. There is easy access to the 1 which will take u to Carmel,17 Mile Drive, Big Sur, and several state parks. As for the hotel, the rooms are modern and clean, but the beds are a bit firm. We’ve stayed here twice in a family townhouse suite, which is kind of amazing. There is a queen murphy bed downstairs and a full bathroom with king bed and 2nd bathroom upstairs. Also, their per policy is GREAT, only $40 per per per stay. we had 3 small dogs with us and it was no problem. HIGHLY recommend, will definitely stay here again.

Cute hotel with nice king room with fireplace. Liked the amenities, slippers and water bottles. However, we could hear the people above us walking at all hours. The continental breakfast was very simple. At least some whole fruit would have been nice to have as well. Overall, nice stay!
