Misleading pix of the rooms. Very old hotel

The pictures that are displayed for the hotel are from their most recent renovated building. When you choose your room the impression is that you are staying at a clean modern hotel when in fact it is old and dingy. We reserved a studio suite 1 queen 1 king with a kitchenette. The carpet, couch annd bedding are all dingy and dirty. I asked the front desk if we can be switched to a room with flooring since the kids like to be barefoot but they said all rooms have carpets and unless I wanted to pay the difference of the current rate to be in the newer building then there was nothing they had to accommodate. Luckily we are only staying one night. They should use pictures of the actual rooms and not mislead with pictures of the newer building rooms.

This hotel is in the center of everything, on the beach with two great restaurants with great food and right on the water. It is not a bells & whistles hotel but that's why you can't beat the price (I've tried). They are pet-friendly - if you have a pet. They have beach chairs & umbrellas. Great for kids & a budget. LOTS of STAIRS. I suggest staying in the SURF side buildings because the front is a lot of stairs for kids. You can get lost, lol. I am a regular so I had to give directions for than once to a couple not sure where to go.

My room was not cleaned properly beds were slept in and bathroom was dirty. I found a bra in the bathroom as well as full trash cans, and towels on the floor. This was very disappointing to see especially for the price of this room.

We were very disappointed with the actual place we were given. We booked this hotel under the premise that it was an ocean view suite. The pictures on line look very updated, and are extremely deceiving. The room we were put in had a view of the next building, and was super old fashioned. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not what we were expecting. When we called to inquire about an ocean view we were told they could upgrade us for $200 more per night. Then on top of that you HAVE to park valet, and our vehicle was parked right in front of our room. We had to walk down the stairs, drag all our luggage down there, stand outside to have the valet attendant run back up around the corner to bring our car to us. Just unnecessary, in our opinion. We can park our own car.

It’s.great older property. You cannot beat the location and the staff are very accommodating. If you are looking for a beachfront stay in Laguna, this is a grat option.

The hotel is in a great area but we found our room to be very outdated and had an ant problem throughout the stay. We called to have them take care of the ants in our room (they were in the sheets) and no one came so we had to call again hours later and someone finally came to take care of it and it stopped in that room. But then the ants were in every other room the rest of the stay. Also, if you have kids, I recommend staying on the lowest level as the balcony was rotting away at the base on the 3rd floor so we didn’t let our kids go near it.

Great location for the Hotel

This hotel is in a great location only 2 blocks south of Main Beach. It is an older hotel however it was very, very clean. The views of the ocean were fantastic. The room includes a full kitchen which was very convenient. Also, the Hotel is only 2 blocks from a gym (Art of Laguna), which was great for me. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is $45/night for parking, so we avoided that by parking off of Gleneyre Road for free, which is one block east of PCH. We will definitely be back and we recommend the Hotel. Great Location! Don’t expect an ocean view.

Amazing location. Rooms are worn but clean and large. Bed was comfy too. We had a terrible view overlooking the valet /ally but I’m sure some units have amazing ones We made the most of our stay - the location is perfect to walk everywhere which makes up for the 7:40am trash truck pick up that woke us up.
