After you have spent time in Higashiyamato, why don't you explore a little further afield? The Kanto vicinity has plenty of other things to offer visitors. Kanto is known for beaches, coastal plains and forests. Commonly visited Kanto tourist destinations include the ruins, castles and historic palaces. Energetic types can try their hand at snowboarding and skiing here.

Don't shoot through before you have checked out the Jindaiji Temple and Fuda Tenjinsha Shrine in Chofu. Haneda Airport is 40 kilometres from downtown Higashiyamato. Should you wish to stay nearby, you can easily secure a night at the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu or the Hotel Jal City Haneda Tokyo.
