Stayed for four days and they never cleaned the room. I was very disappointed as its just part of the experience if being at a hotel even if it is a cheaper one. I moved all our bags to the corner left nothing on the floors or bed and still no service. I asked about finally because the kids spilled some chips, it was early in the morning, and the desk lady told me i needed to go find the housekeeper and schedule a cleaning. Um no... thats not how hotels work in the US sweetheart. I felt it was extra frustrating as the beds are made with 2 topsheets instead of a fitted bottom sheet. So halfway thought the night you speeping right ON the matress protector, which is grose! They also have a bunch of hidden service fees, we booked online and still had several fees to pay at the desk which very much offended me! This place could be nice if they treated the customers better. Parking is super tight and pretty much full every night. They have a fee for parking and youbhave to give the desk your lisence plate. But then there are 2 giant vans with people living and parking in the parking lot. I had to park next to one andni got a huge door ding from the person living in the parking lot. Pretty disappointing for Del Mar!

Loved the location and decor

Overall it was a great stay. Convenient to many restaurants and grocery stores and coffee cafés. You do have a few homeless people that hang around in the evening. Love the decor of the room, beds were comfy. Stayed in a Deluxe room that had a small kitchenette, but there was no kitchenware. Not sure if you had to ask for it or not. Only complaint, was that the floor was pretty dirty.
