The hotel was nicely decorated and the staff were very polite and nice and could speak English. The location was a bit inconvenient. We had to take a shuttle to and from the station. No laundry on site, which isn’t suitable for people staying around for more than a day or 2 - we saved our laundry for the next hotel, which had laundry on site. We had to get a junior suite even though we were 2 adults and 2 kids (a 7 day old and a 10 year old) and basically paid for 4 adults. They had 3 beds stacked awkwardly in the bedroom portion and a 4th bed in the living room, which ruined the ambiance. My kids aren’t that big so we ended up with 3 beds (but could have dealt with 2 beds). At least we had a living room after the 4th bed was removed.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms was spacious. Located in a more residential area, so it is a little bit away from the main area. I still would recommend it, but be aware of the little bit of a distance from the main tourist areas.

I really liked the location (leafy, near Waseda University, away from the hectic activity of Shinjuku, Asakusa, etc., but easy to travel all over Tokyo as well as to and from airports. I also really liked my room: spacious, rather "old school," in a good way. Because of carpeting and upholstery, there are a few stains, but much warmer atmosphere in comparison with modern hotels with hard, easy-to-clean surfaces.

Great sized room with plenty of restaurants within the hotel itself and a lovely quiet location away from crazy Tokyo. Perhaps it was a little isolated as there weren't many other restaurants within walking distance. It was a 15 minute walk to the local train station however they did offer a shuttle. There is also a local bus a block away which we used a few times and a tram 3 blocks away. Next time I would stay a little closer to the action although we had a great stay and the staff were very helpful.

The freebies in the bathroom were really great, the power in the shower was amazing. The hotel has an old classic feel and is designed beautifully. The breakfsst could be imrpoved with a few more hot vegetarian options but otherwise fine. The fresh orange juice was a great touch.
