The Wharf Inn was in a great location and the staff was nice and friendly. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Without AC or cross ventilation, the room became quite stuffy. With the window open, we experienced street noise; such as, garbage collection, deliveries, and street sweeping during the night and screaming (profanity) bums and loud vehicle music during the days. We would recommend the Wharf Inn…just be aware of the ‘noise’.

Great central location to the fisherman’s wharf, easy to walk around and see the sights. From desk was accommodating. Comfortable bed and room. Keep in mind it’s an older hotel near the water. Would stay again!

I booked this last minute. This motel is disgusting. I travel frequently and will stay in hostels or a resort This motel should not be on Expedia. Nasty, foul smelling and falling apart. I immediately walked out & asked for a refund. I was refused and expedia kept me on the phone for an hour & while agreeing the motel was awful based on the pics I sent, only offered a $25 coupon. I have used Expedia over 50 times this year and cannot believe this treatment. I recommend spending $50 more for a normal hotel not this slum with a terrible desk clerk

Wouldn’t do it again

There’s no air conditioning, beds rough and not comfortable! Great location in regards to fisherman’s wharf and pier 39 but it’s a very old, outdated hot hotel room. At night it wasn’t horrible but you have to open the windows which can’t have the curtains pulled so less privacy but during the day it’s HOT

The only good thing is the location. (Walking distance to fisherman’s wharf). When we got to the room, it doesn’t look like advertisement. We don’t mind vintage, but it was beyond vintage. Old wallpaper, and rough all around. Then…it was so noisy at night. There is some homeless that stay around there. One guy talked and yelled all night (to himself ), keeping us up. When we first arrived, I immediately started looking for another place to go. Unfortunately nothing available or if there was something it was way out of our price range. Since we’d probably still have to pay for the room at The Wharf. I wouldn’t stay there nor would I recommend to anyone.

When I check in there was no one I had to wait 15 min for someone to come to the office and open the door The room didn’t have ac and parking was horrible even tho inoay $30 to park at the hotel also they took $150 for deposit and $45 to be upgraded to a mini suit and they didn’t upgrade us. There were signs in the bathroom about the water temperature changing random in the parking lot there was a huge whole in the ground and there were no towels in the bathroom
