I gave a 4/5 review because the main issue we had was cleaning. We were immediately greeted and given a free upgrade with my VIP status. However, when we went into the room, the bathroom seemed untouched and unclean. This was reported to the front desk, although they couldn’t do anything that night as housekeeping was gone. We had 2 options wait next day or move rooms. However, since we already unpacked. We decided to wait until they come at 9 as informed. It was 9:30 and no one had arrived, we went to the front desk, and the woman didn’t seem to want to have our room immediately attended to asking us to wait further and mgmt was made aware. We refuted waiting further as it should have been clean before we arrived and wasn’t going to wait for “eventually”. They called housekeeping, she did mop the floor & clean the toilet. But the shower was still untouched when she tried to leave and we had to contact someone again from the front to come assist us with the Spanish-speaking housekeeper. It seems pretty ridiculous that having a shower get cleaned was the most frustrating part of this entire experience. We were given a voucher for free breakfast so we did end up using that as an apology for the inconvenience. But, I feel cleaning a shower is pretty basic and water stains/hair should be an easy removal. Other than that, the sheets were absolutely comfortable. The bar was great, the food was OK/average. We did not partake with the pool or games, but sat by fire pit at night.

The location provides easy access to fast food and a grocery store. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The room was a bit run-down--dirt marks on the walls, especially in the bathroom. Random hairs found in the shower. All private entrances and a cute pool area.
