We were doing a road trip seeing friends and family in SoCal, so we just wanted a comfortable place for the night. This hotel exceeded all expectations. More than just a convenient place for a road trip, it’s a welcoming upscale and relaxing hotel. With the Japanese traveler in mind, the room had a Japanese bath, bidet, and even Japanese TV stations. Also our dinner at the restaurant served innovative sushi and other creative approaches to Japanese standard dishes. Highly recommended

The best part was the deep and spacious bathtub. A bathroom with a separate washing area is very relaxing. Sound insulation between adjacent rooms wasn’t great, and I could sometimes hear voices from next door. Room cleaning was thorough and good, but a coffee cup that had been collected once was missing, so I couldn’t have coffee on the morning of the second day. The parking lot was spacious and clean. Additionally, regarding the “Japanese TV channels” mentioned in the hotel guide/information, I couldn’t find any channels that seemed to match that description.

The room I was given had a very deep bathtub that required a person to almost climb in it to take a shower. It did not have a shower outside of the bathtub. It was unacceptable and required me to take my luggage back to the front desk to get another room. The odd part is that the front desk person insisted that the first room was accessible or handicapped which is not correct as a handicapped person wouldn’t be able to climb into the deep bathtub. The front desk was courteous and helpful but the first room assignment was ridiculous.

The A/C was very good- quiet and even distribution of air. The upgraded room to a suite was just great and breakfast while we hv to pay at 20% discount was a good mix of Japanese and western fares. I love the Japanese breakfast- clean and flavorful.

Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Very clean room and the hotel grounds were lovely. Our bed was so comfortable and loved the deep tub and bidet toilet. Reminds my Husband and myself of our time in Japan. Would love to come back.
