Every bit of this hotel was fabulous! The old Hollywood vibe was fantastic! The food was delicious. The staff was wonderful. The accommodations were absolutely five star.

We reserved a Signature Suite Ocean View room. When we got to the room the view was of an apartment building across the street and the bathroom was half the size of the bathroom in the photo. I asked Ethan at the front desk and he explained that there are 3 “not very good” ocean view suites with no ocean view and much smaller bathrooms and I was unlucky and got put in one. I verified that the price is the same as the larger suite and he said yes. I verified that the photos did not match the suite I got and he said yes. He said nothing could be done, and nothing was done. I then went back to the room and called down for bathrobes which were supposed to be there. They said they would be right up. Never showed. The next day I tried again and they did deliver bathrobes. I requested turn down service every night and it happened 1 of the 4 nights. I am a big fan of Fairmont properties and this property did not live up to the Fairmont name. They will reply to this with a generic “we are sorry” and then take zero action. Buyer beware when booking.
This was my Ocean View as pointed out by staff.

My problem was with Expedia. I needed to shorten my stay by one day. The hotel was fine with it but Expedia would not authorize a refund because I had already checked in. So sorry I booked through Expedia. I will avoid it in the future.

Location was fantastic, service was great. The pool was often crowded and not enough chairs, but they did their best to seat you and wait on you so you would get in with your family.

Place needs some upkeep, wallpaper peeling, carpet frayed and worn, pool and hot tub are tiny, but staff made up for not so great environment. Very helpful

The Fairmont Miramar is a fantastic place to stay with a beautiful oceanfront location that really adds to the experience. It’s just minutes from the Santa Monica Pier, which makes it great for exploring the area. The service at the pool is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast at Fig Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was always fresh and tasty, and it quickly became our favorite morning spot. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Valet on proper entrance was good but $70. for valet is too much for guests. Rooms need updating and two small pillows for each bed is not enough for guest comfort.

Check in was 1 hour late, I ordered to signature cocktails which were hastily made. They were $25 each and no effort put into their presentation. I questioned whether or not there should be a garnish with the cocktail. I didn’t get an answer, but I did get a dried orange on a plate. I guess the garnish was missing. I sent the drink back and once it was ultimately resolved it’s not the service I expect from a hotel like this.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is so close to the ocean and to the shopping and dining at the Promenade. Our room in the Ocean tower was quiet (although small) and we slept well on comfortable beds. We rented bikes - super easy and free - from the hotel. Although we didn’t swim, the pool area is lovely. Definitely the best location and removed a bit from some of the crowds near the SM pier.

The Fairmont offers everything you would want in a hotel. Great dining options, bars, pools, and an amazing staff. Once you arrive you really don't need to leave property for anything !!
