We’ve stayed here before and this time there was a noticeable downgrade this time staying. Upon arrival, the main windows were completely cracked. We paid extra for this room for the jacuzzi and the jacuzzi wouldn’t drain which meant we couldn’t use it as much as we would have liked to and the reason we booked the room. The wallpaper in certain places was peeling from the walls as well. It was super disappointing this time around there and even worse that we paid extra for this room that had so many issues with it.

Probably due to being off peak season but the price was amazing for a one night stay. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, had an indoor pool too. Everything just perfect.

The lodge didn’t have the lounge open , the ceiling had black mold or lint all around the fans, walls looked like they were piling and the cocking in the bathroom was bright yellow and missing in spots. Beds were comfortable, pool was clean, hand soap and lotion were pleasant smelling and good coffee. At the time of arrival when we entered our room the was a ladder in the way and ceiling tiles removed and out of place - not a huge deal but rooms should be ready for guest. Some staff was more helpful than others when it came time to asking questions about activities and what was available or open.

Helpful and attentive staff! Victoria was lovely at our check-in and Rhianna at our check-out. The lending library/book exchange was a great idea. We very much appreciated the complimentary bus pass to use public transit about town. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was good, we had excellent customer service during check-in. At any time. We had a question for the front desk. They were very responsive. The room themselves are quite outdated and we had a few things broken within our room upon check-in, and one thing we definitely noticed was there is no USB plug-ins for our cables for phones, etc. A little bit of a hike down Banff to get to the main touristy area, but that can kind of be a good thing as you don’t have overcrowding in front of the hotel. A nice perk that we didn’t use, but wish we had was the free bus passes to get around town.

Although the room’s location was a bit tricky to navigate, and we found ourselves a little lost at times, the overall comfort made up for it. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have extended it longer. Unfortunately, it was just a quick overnight stop on our drive back to BC, but it was a pleasant and restful experience nonetheless.
