We enjoyed our stay. We had to request more pillows, blankets, and hand soap. We loved the reserved parking at Douglas Fir, although it was tight at times. My kids loved the waterpark and went there every day.

Solo traveler stayed 5 nights. Housekeeping only attended to my room one time. Modest but quite spacious room with full kitchen. Wood burning fire place. Wood available in underground parking area. Waterpark, pool and indoor/outdoor hot tubs. View from outside pool was nice. No onsite grocery, store or restaurant so plan ahead. Easy access to Hoodoo trail and bus stop is across the street. Elk visited resort grounds daily. Fun to see.

Great place for nature lovers.

The resort could use some updating but we loved staying there. Staff was amazing, condo was clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Our condo balcony looked out over the wilderness with bike trails that doubled as game trails. A small herd of elk came down off the mountain in the mornings and grazed right under and out from the balcony. Also had a coyote trot down the trail one evening. If you like quiet and nature trails that go on for miles this is the place for you.

The property was nice and quiet, away from downtown Banff. It was nice to have various types of accommodations available. The property was a bit run down, especially the water slide area. We were there 7 minutes early and they wouldn’t do an “early” check in.

We had a wonderful stay and would love to stay again. Our kids made full use of the recreation facilities--they are already begging to go back. Also, it was very nice to have a full kitchen. The place was a little older and weathered--there were definitely signs of its age, but I expected that given the price point. Overall, I have no complaints. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring Banff.
