Easy check-in and check-out. Each unit was provided with 1 parking space, also they gave out Unlimited Bus pass to downtown, though we didn’t use it, it’s really a nice perk for convenient travel to downtown. We rented a 1-bedroom Lodge, it has a kitchen and dining area, we were able to cook and have breakfast there. Only 1.5bath, so all 6 of us needs to use the washroom downstairs to take a shower. 2 Queen size beds upstairs and 1 bedroom with a queen size bed downstairs, enough for the 6 of us to rest after our daytrips in Lake Louise and Jasper. We didn’t really stayed long in the unit, we leave early in the morning and come back late at night, the area is quiet and dark but it still feels safe even driving there at night.

The hotel is outside of Banff, however, travel into Banff is easy and the hotel provides a courtesy bus pass. Every room is allocated parking, The only restaurant nearby is an adjacent hotel - the food is very nice. Douglas Fir is in need of renovations. As a stop over for a day or two to discover Banff and its surroundings it is fine. For a longer stay you may consider a more comfortable hotel.

Needs some serious updating. Sofa stinks with legs broken. Cabinets with missing drawers and doors. Ceiling in the bathroom has a lot of stains. Carpet in the living room has stains. The unit has a very unpleasant smell. Manager said it is perfume. They need to brighten up the unit. Found spiders in the bathroom.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean. A tad bit outdated but that didn't bother us at all. I saw zero bugs, room was cleaned everyday. Nice to have a fireplace in the room.
