The condo itself was a great space that was clean and well stocked. The property could use some updating in terms of the laundry room, gym and just overall up keep. I would recommend to stay here! The staff was very helpful, our condo was the perfect size to cook meals and was clean and also a short distance into the town of Banff. About a 3-4 minute drive.

We found this unit had everything we needed but the lounge was grubby and carpet needs replacing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Having public transport out the front was very convenient.

Our second stay at Tunnel Mountain and we would highly recommended everything about it. The free shuttle took the worry out of parking in town. Very quiet, Great beds and bathroom. The kitchenette was handy for breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved it.

Old, rundown, poorly managed

This was, emphasis on was once a beautiful property. Reviews and the rating stars are of the past not the present condition.the place is rundown, poorly managed and in desperate need of repairs, upkeep, maintenance and updating. It is so filthy, that we tossed the socks we used to walk on the floors. Equipment being old, and the place being filthy was topped by unfamiliar and unhelpful from the staff who attempted to help that seem to be unfamiliar with their property and their job. The carpets were old and dirty, couch was stained all over made you uncomfortable to sit and they laminated floor sticky even when you were walking with your socks on. Lack of care is present everywhere including all the remotes with the battery door hanging and not closing even the replacement ones that they gave us, a broken old coffee pot a percolator one that doesn't work, dry powder milk creamer coffee creamer and a tea selection that is only orange pico and a place that is Kitchener equipped by without a single roll of paper towel or anything to wipe with

Excellent location for Banff, out of the town nuts regular free bus was good. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, good cooking facilities. The accommodation is behind the train line, so occasional train horn during the night. But would stay again.

OK but surprises were negative not positive

Clean but property and room are dated. Furniture and carpet old and dirty appearance. There was no air conditioning!!! This should be clear when booking and was not for me. "Shuttle" to/from town is via a public transportation prepaid card - not any sort of private shuttle. No views. at least from our room location. It was fine, but for the high cost I expected a great deal more; we could have stayed downtown for same cost.

Tunnel Mountain was continently located. You could walk to town or take the bus that was right out front. The hotel did provide a bus pass to utilize transit that was included in the stay. They also have free parking for guests.

The Tunnel Mountain Resort was a great place to relax and spend the night after a long day’s hike! We really enjoyed the loft structure, with two beds on top and a bedroom on the first floor. It gave our group some separation and space, but there was also a living room for all of us to enjoy together. The check-in process with smooth, with the hotel providing us our perk for being Silver Hotels.com members! There are a lot of amenities, but we didn’t even use many because we were always outside enjoying the lakes and environment. The parking is tight in the lot, with a lot of cars filling up spaces, but it was still doable. The balcony facing the trees and mountains was a nice touch and great way to end the night!

Great Stay

Hotel rooms were clean and looked recently renovated. It has a nice kitchenette with a stove, fridge, and cups/utensils which it is easy to do grocery runs and stock food before day hikes. Staff is friendly as well.
